Hello,
I'm a current member of surpasshosting. I've been with them for a few years now. Honestly, their service has been pretty good for me. Sure we had a few bumps in the road here and there.
Anyway, I'm trying to decide to upgrade my current plan OR look for a new host. Basically, the most I want to spend is $25 a month. I would like a lot of storage space, bandwidth, and of course reliable & stable uptime.
Like most people I want all the bells and whistles at a small price =). Surpasshosting packages and service seem pretty hard to beat. I've looked around a little and only found maybe 2 other providers that could come close.
When I FIRST signed up with Surpass Hosting I got the same amount of storage space for my main domain as there was on my reseller client side. So if I had a package with 10GB of space and 2000 GB of bandwidth then I would get 10 GB & 2000 GB of bandwidth for my main domain; I would then get that same space & bandwidth to manage the reseller accounts. So I don't lose any space or bandwidth.
Now I'm stuck with 5GB of space and 10GB of bandwidth for my main domain and several GB more for my reseller accoounts. Which really blows?
So if anyone has any suggestions of any other site that is reliable, affordable, and has great packages PLEASE let me know.

try itxdesign.net or hostforweb.com but remember when you pay more you get what you pay for

hi you say, "suggest the best reseller hosting provider" well there aint anyone who is the best, but there is someone out there who is the best for you!
How much diskspace do you currently use? do you think your likely to exceed that in the next 12 months?
Do you prefer windows or linux?
What country is best for you for a datacentre?

i am also a reseller .. and the deal you are getting i think its the best ... and you are happy with your host too .. no one in the industry is give 2000GB bandwidth for just $15 permonth .. my suggestion is to buy another account with current host .,... so will get the double the space plus 4K bandwidth .. and it will cost you 5$ more as per your budget

Your requirements don't really look right..
You have 2TB of bandwidth... out of 2TB, how much are you actually using? I'm guessing not even 20GB?
Use realistic requirements in conjunction with a realistic host :)

Well, just something to think about but I would contact surpass and see if they have any sort of deal for you to upgrade, etc.
You've been a long term client, evidently pretty happy so I would look to them first.
On the other hand you may want to have a reseller account with another provider as well (lots do this so you dont have all your eggs in one basket!)

I guess I don't understand what is driving you to look for a new host. If you're happy where they are and you're getting a great deal then what's the problem?
I for one will not nickle and dime my host, once I find someone who is rock solid at at a fair price I'll stick with them. Only if support/service takes a dive or if I need a feature they do not support will I move.
Thanks for the replies.
I'm looking for a linux server based in a datacenter here in the USA. Probably more toward the east coast.
Yes, surpass has been good to me. I have complained a little in the past when things weren't so great but eventually the issues always gets straighten out. I'm inquiring about a new host because I'm just not sure what's out there. Do I have the best deal for the buck? Am I getting the best service? Its like finding a job. You start your new job and you are happy for a while and then wonder if you look for a new job will you get paid more money and enjoy it more...
I recently spoke to the surpass help desk and they have given me a few options. I'm probably going to take them up on one of them. Still its always good to know if you are missing out on something else.
When you have a ton of videos and stuff on your site the storage space and bandwidth go like crazy. So the more you get of both the happier you and your clients will be.
The main purpose of this post is to find out what everyone else has. Maybe they have a pretty good deal too with their provider and I should look into it. I know that every single provider will have good and bad comments. Its good to keep an eye open for other possibilities.

Well I see they offer 20GB of disk and 2000GB of bandwidth for $15/mo. I'm no expert but that smells to me of heavy over selling. A browse of their forums showed alot of issues of heavy server loads and inaccessible sites.
I'm not sure you're going to find many rock solid hosts that offer that many resources for that price. They also are pretty light on the details about the accounts.

We are working with Hostdime and their services better than our old hosting providers. We don't want to change it at this time. I think Surpasshosting is a member of the HostDime, too. If you glad from them when don't change your hosting provider.
