Sorry if i am posting this in the wrong section becuase i was unsure.
I need some advice.
I am wondering if i should subscribe to Technet

http://www.microsoft.com.au/technetplus (http://www.microsoft.com.au/technetplus)

I've been checking out other subscriptions too, but this one so far seems to have the best offer, has anyone subscribed yet? Is it true that they give out free Microsoft Vista and Ultimate Office pack?

Would be great to get your feedbacks. If anyone is interested, the link pasted also has more detailed info.

Cheers,

I'm a TechNet member.

Yes, they give out 'free' software to their members for 'evaluation' purposes.

MS Actually sends you CDs monthly of pretty much everything they release from Beta on up.
They make it all available for you to download in their site.
Access to the virtual labs and support is great too.

I'd reccommend it.

If you really need it and can afford it sure... it's recommended that you subscribe to one. Good for evaluating and playing around with MS softwares as well as updates, virtual labs etc.

We got MS technet too and had been a gold partner for a while (on my full-time work), we did get Vista but it ain't the ultimate, I'm not sure about Ultimate Office pack, have to check it still.

Thru Technet, you can have monthly (for a year/renewable) access to their softwares as pointed earlier. But then again, you can't use it really for a production environment.

If you want you can also subscribe to MS ActionPack. This does not have all of the softwares but what it contains are licensed versions that can be used for production. You need to be a registered MS partner to avail of this.
