I read this thread and thought the title was a parody. Isn't it? Try http://nodaddy.com/

There are no excellent registrars. Even GoDaddy is bad. Please be more specific.

I doubt there can be anything against ResellerClub? I moved to them from OnlineNIC.com 3 years ago, and since then no problem at all, I manage more than 350 domain names across hundred of customers and sub-resellers.

i have found godaddy to be quite good

i have asked a few support questions now and they have all been answered within a day
and where actually typed by a person
rather than like the ebay or other useless automated response emails
they answered my question perfectly and in full

i also use sedo.com, i dont register with them, for that i use 123reg, but with sedo you have many parking options and action listing options for free

Greg2007...good luck to you! If the warnings posted earlier (see nodaddy.com above) do not dissuade you, then more power to you. Speaking for myself, I will stay far away from godaddy.com

It’s funny, but sad. There a too many things consumers shop for that dictate rather than looking for the best, you must look for the one that sucks the least.

but thanks for the warning, those problems look very official!

What Stu already posted here there are no excellent registrars!
Some work for you some not.
Godaddy and Enom work for me with no big problems but some here do have a problem with them.

What’s important for me is to see their time on reply on a trouble ticket and see their control panel for bulk.

Never ever use 123reg, their support is none existant.

I needed some .co.uk name servers adding to their registr,I had no response in a week, never got any answer on the phone and had to resort to sending a fax begging them to do it.

I now need to do the same, had a ticket raised for almost a week, tried ringing them, and this time a fax doesnt even get through.

I had a terrible experience with GoDaddy support. After I was billed for some overpriced hosting overage (my 500meg account was a few meg over with no warnings and no easy way to know it was anywhere near the limit due to 24hour stat updates!!!!) and was charged way more than the next higher account plan as per their DODGY SCAM SETUP.. Anyway I was bounced EIGHT times between THREE departments, often through the SAME people and was getting nowhere because they ALL thought that billing was not their responsibility!.

I was copying the ENTIRE message and reply with each new bounce and sending it on to the next guy, but they ALWAYS asked me for the details which I WAS PROVIDING in the messages...

There was some time limit on resolving billing issues.

This process took at least 2 weeks.

I was not refunded, I went over the limit by 2 megs - tough titties.

Anyway. Powerpipe.com has never let me down and they've been around for nearly a decade... Dreamhost is the best hosting, 200gig and an AWESOME control panel with all the controls you need and telnet shell access to shared accounts!! beat that!.

Well as far as domains go I never had issues that needed instant reply but as far eNom's support goes, I've received replies within 24 hours or less, which is reasonable IMO.

Godaddy is not the best, but yes, most people use them and trust them. Their domains are expensive. I don't understand why people search for coupons on forums to save 1 - 2 $ and get trapped with GD. I have never seen a coupon working for domain renewals with them. And renewals are pretty high (around $ 9 for each)

I feel resellerclub is a nice company.

Good point about renewals at godaddy.

Godaddy support is not always that bad as well, they handled a refund request from me not long ago without any problems.

The coupons are just awesome, I end up keep buying.

I use DomainSite.com, and they're quite a good domain registrar (and cheap, too). They're a relatively small registrar, but this has its benefits (support seems to be significantly better than all the massive companies like GoDaddy).

I have used namecheap for a few years now and I like them very much. I would recommend them to anyone.
