No need to rewrite your vbulletin - laying it in the hands of SEO exports would definetely work much better for you.

i did it myself with a free mod i found. it seems to work well :)

I have just installed Zoints Seo on my forums. I like to have the urls worked with mod-rewrite .. it's easier to recognize a thread ... and it's nicer than showthread.php?t=4363 or whatever they show it like
