Why do some resellers or webhosts have nameservers other than their domain?
i.e john.com is a reseller and his nameservers are ns1.doe.com and ns2.doe.com. But doe.com is also john.com's property.
Why doesn't he just use ns1.john.com and ns2.john.com instead of ns1.doe.com and ns1.doe.com?
thnx

Resellers may have different domain names so that hosting is anonymous. IE. At our reseller program our nameservers are ns1.lowestpricedhosting.com and ns2.lowestpricedhosting.com so that when a reseller sells our hosting, there is no namebranding on our services.
