View Full Version : Any Reseller Host Provide Customer Service?
ajstocco 03-18-2007, 04:31 PM Hello,
Is there a provider who also handles customer service? I'm a one-man-show with full-time job and I can't do it all. I know that Godaddy offers this type of reseller program, but I'd like to know of some other options.
Thank you!
BluewaveHosted 03-18-2007, 04:44 PM Yes, many other companies offer support services. What are you looking for exactly? U want a Support Service for your clients, that LOOKS like your own support department? That is possible too.
ajstocco 03-18-2007, 05:04 PM Yes, I'd like customer service for my clients / end users and to have the service be generic or reflect my brand.
IH-Rameen 03-18-2007, 05:27 PM Such a service is offered by various hosts (end user support). Some have varying levels and I believe all of them do it in a different way..
Check out the offers section or search for "end user support"
Good luck :)

Yes, many companies offer such support. You can even send your Logo in and have the interface branded so that your customers will think it is YOUR support application.
Private label end user support is still extremely rare in the reseller sector. It really depends whether you're lookin for white label or private label. White label will send your user outside your domain to an anonymous domain to gain support (most leave, after they realise the provider isn't part of the support system).
Private label will have your clients submit tickets/requests from your own domain, never leaving or submitting to anything different. The second item is extremely rare but truly the only form that should be used if you wish to keep your clients.

HasGreatDane 03-19-2007, 08:24 AM I believe Webkore (webkore.net) provides private label support for your customers - somebody correct me if I'm wrong as I have no direct experience with them. Their reputation seems fairly good around these boards.

E.Emile 03-19-2007, 11:41 AM I agree webkore is a good company
ajstocco 03-19-2007, 07:52 PM Thank you all for your suggestions. Now can anybody give me an idea how the ordering process would work on my own website?
HasGreatDane 03-19-2007, 09:54 PM That would be entirely up to you. Your prospective customers are yours to sign up; your host is only responsible for their support once they have signed up with you. I think Webkore offers software (at a monthly price) that can handle signups and client management, but sales and billing will still remain your responsibility.
beatingtheodds 03-20-2007, 07:26 PM Webkore and Hostingzoom both offer end user support that would appear to your clients as your own. I have had experience with hostingzoom and found that their tech support was pretty responsive. Never used Webkore so I can't comment.

I have direct experience with WebKore as I had a resellers account with them for a few months.
Web hosting is a hobby for me. I wanted to test their claim of 30 minutes guaranteed response time (not sure if they still advertise that). So I created a cPanel account for a friend, he submitted a support ticket requesting they (WebKore) install FlashChat (http://www.tufat.com/script2.htm). 24 minutes later his support ticket was updated and e-mail replied to stating the script has been installed. If I didn't already have 6 other reseller accounts I might have kept my account there.
I'm not sure how they're able to offer free end user support on an $11.99 WHM resellers account.
