I bought this IPB perpetual license several months ago. It's a great forum, but not the one for me. I finally installed the board today after all this time to try to use it. I looked at the admin cp and almost had a heart attack. I'm use to VBulletin and don't really want to learn IPB.

I'm willing to trade this for a VBulletin owned license or for the cash to buy an owned license.

The IPB license never expires. You will get updates for life no need to pay yearly fees or whatever (unless you want paid support). This license is no longer sold by IPB which makes it an even greater value.

There is a $15 fee charged by IPB if you don't have an account with them already. If you already have an account then it's free.

I'm making a post on the helpdesk now to get this verified.

How much would you want for it? I don't have a vB owned but I have a yearly.

I don't know, I guess make an offer. I'm trying to get as close to the VBulletin as possible. If I don't get any decent offers, I'll just keep it and buy the license. It costs me $148 for a brand new license (because of bulk pricing).

How much was the perpetual license when they offered it?

I don't know. All I know is with their new licensing scheme the Standard is $150 and Business is $300. With both options you have to pay for upgrades/updates every six months. With the license I have you never have to pay for upgrades/updates.

Right, do you have any idea how much you paid when they offered that license?

I bought this off of someone else in July 2006. I wouldn't know the original price.

I am interested. How would you propose we conduct such a trade?

Thanks

I want to thank internext for possibly the smoothest trade possible. Offer is closed now.
