View Full Version : Should I get Modern Bill?

Currently my setup is phpManager with Paypal and 2Checkout Recurring bills...

Integrates alright with phpManager, I just click "Invoice", then their name whenever payment has been received...

My question is...I'd eventually like to move to ModernBill/Echo/Paypal...

But currently, would my existing billing system be able to integrate AT ALL?

Would I just select "Other" under payment method..or what? ...I'm not sure whether or not to get it because I'm not sure if existing customers can get implemented into it!

You can enter you cleints into ModernBill as if they were in their from the beginning. We have a basic client data importer (reads from a CSV file) for your client's information and you can add the domains and packages after that.

Does that help or did I miss the question?

Well..not really :D

I mean...with the current clients having 2Checkout and Paypal re-accuring payments...can I keep it that way??

Also on the order form..is there a way I could forward them to an address to pay by 2Checkout re-accuring (payment link) or by paypal until I get Echo?

Modern Bill looks very cool..just about everything I was looking before hand to implement in some way..and more! :)

ModernBill handles all recurring transactions so there is no need to use the same services from 2checkout & PayPal. This is the only thing that won't transfer over from your current system.

Modern Bill: So my current customer's method of payment would not transition over? ...there is no way to select "Other" in the payment type..or something that would keep from messing up customers under 2checkout and paypal re-accuring?

We'll let MB respond to that.

He's currently busy filling my order. :stickout

Yes, you can select "Other" if you wish.

The best solution would be to port those clients over to a real payment gateway...but if that won't work for you, than the "Other" method should be just fine.

OK thanks...because I'm not going to be able to move over for another few months...

How will the "Other" method work as far as invoicing goes? Will it invoice them each month...and I'll have to manually say they paid??

And finally..again w/the order script..could it be customized so that it forwards to a link rather than using a payment processor?

Basically yes.

If you have the full source code, you can add this to the final page.

We are working on an API currently. THis will allow us to create modules for various servers, gateways, registrars, etc. cPanel is one that will be created at first. The ETA for the API is 2-4 weeks.

LOL. There is a specific file you need to edit. Ping me on our support forum if you can not locate it.
