Hi, im looking for a logo for my new hosting site, preferable free, although if you are in the UK and good i can pay you by cheque or bank transfer.

Im looking for mainly a text logo for DizzyHost.com maybe with the D spinning or someway of making the logo look er "dizzy" someone designed me one but i dont really like it.

I need the logo to be able to be used in various siszes and for print as well as the web.

The point is that I am tired of kids thinking they can start a webhost and get things for free. If you have to ask for a free logo then you probably won't be able to afford other unforseen things along the way.

Andy, if you are so smart why don't you read my sig and see that i already have a hosting company. I can afford a logo and the other costs but i dont have a credit card atm so i cannot pay people in the US unless i use Paypal so thats why i asked for a free logo.
Any more comments you would like to make?

Hosts get on to people for requesting free hosting why should it be different for designers and people who request free design services?

But you can see the mentality in that log. It doesn't cost any money to design a logo so it is okay to do it for free.

I said i could pay but being in the UK with no credit cards presents difficulties paying someone in the USA.

He is obviously just trying to boost his post count, i dont appreciate the fact we can only advertise every 5 days and when i do someone like him completely trashes my ad. If hes not ofering a free logo or a paid logo in the UK why did he even bother replying to my post?

Saw your post and thought I'd put in a few samples. Hope you like! :)

The way I view logos are that they don't necessarily need to reflect the name, title, or description. They need to have visual appeal. That's what makes people remember them. If you can view a logo and know exactly what the company name is without the name of the company or product on the logo itself, the logo has done its job.

I personally like Logo 1, which is the first draft. It's amazing how much a logo changes just by moving a few components around. These would be good for both web and print.

Thanks guys, im gonan have a word with my partner and see what he likes best,he has a thing for clear easy tp read fonts so i suspect i know which one he will go for.

Although I completely agree with Andrew and everything he has said, I am willing to do your logo if you are still looking, or at least do it and you can consider it :) Not because I agree with "free" work, but because I am looking to build my portfolio, and that's not something you do very well if you are trying to make people pay.
