Hello:

I am a web designer that is considering offering hosting to my clients through a reseller program. Do any reseller hosting companies offer a free trial to test drive their services before someone commits to them? Any information here would be appreciated.

There could be some providers out there that would do this, but most come with money back gaurantees, so where's the risk?? :)

In my experience, 6/10 reseller hosts will offer you a trial account of some desciption if you email them direct. It's just that most don't advertise it openly in case of abuse.

If you pay for the reseller account by credit card then there is no risk if the service is not what you expected. But make sure you check with the company before ordering and make sure they give money back within a certain amount of time if the service is not up to personal standards.

Good luck

There is www.simplicato.com, they offer 6 months free for resellers who bring a minimum of 5 sites, or three months free per site.

Sounds interesting but there site does not look very professional in my opinion.

But may be worth a shot.

I've been using MCHost, and they've been pretty good... really good when you consider their $35 price tag. Why don't you just try them... for only 35 bucks, do you really need a free trial???

Hello allustrious,

Same situation here, I did extensive research and now have it narrowed down to 3:

pixelseven
earhost
freestylehosting

you may want to take a look at those and see if they fit your needs/wants/budget.

Dave-A-M, Freestlyehosting does sound like a good offer. Can you tell me anything about the PHP Manager??

Thanks for the help,
William
