LowAsYou 03-11-2007, 02:20 PM Hi,
I am looking for QuickSSL Premium SSL and Rapid SSL.. and looking for cheapest providers/resellers..
I have found $10/year Rapid SSL and $89/year QuickSSL Premium at this moment...
is there other you know where provide cheaper than that?
If so, could you share your information with WHT memebers?
Thanks
alex-developer 03-12-2007, 01:23 PM personally I have never seen the Rapid SSL for $10/yr, the cheapest which I found it was $15.99/yr.
Could you share your information/link, please?

waikit86 03-14-2007, 02:11 AM The cheapest I have found is $15.99/year, but I also heard someone is getting SBS Instant for $10 from eNom.

Haary 03-14-2007, 03:06 AM Why would you want to buy QuickSSL or GeoTrustSSL instead of RapidSSL?
LaneHost 03-14-2007, 12:40 PM RapidSSL is for lite commerce, geotrust certificates are geared more for higher volume transactions.
alex-developer 03-14-2007, 01:05 PM RapidSSL is for lite commerce, geotrust certificates are geared more for higher volume transactions.
It will be higher Warranty only but both deliver the same security 128/256bit.
The best website about SSL certificates is whichssl.com
neonerd25 03-14-2007, 02:34 PM Another difference is that Rapid SSL is only domain validated, and these come up a different that a fully validated cert.
GeoTrust QuickSSL On up are fully validated
Comodos Instant SSL is fully validated
VeriSign is fully validated
SBS - Ive heard horror stories with installation and browser recognition issues, but half their certs are domain validated only anyway.
IH-Rameen 03-14-2007, 02:47 PM I doubt you would get it for $10 at retail. It costs me about that much to purchase at wholesale..
AL-Benjamin 03-16-2007, 02:41 PM ..The best website about SSL certificates is whichssl.com
while i agree its a very useful site please bear in mind it is run by comodo.
Jamie Edwards 03-16-2007, 02:42 PM RapidSSL is for lite commerce, geotrust certificates are geared more for higher volume transactions.
Why is this? If the encryption strength is the same (which it is), then either should be as good as each other...
I think the price difference has more to do with liable insurances and warranties.
mehonito 03-22-2007, 03:35 PM Namecheap has een offering ssl certs for a few buck if i remember correctly. And if you throw in a domain name it will cost you less !
Lightwave 03-22-2007, 06:02 PM Can anyone point to a case where a liability claim was paid out? To the best of my knowledge they don't really exist.
AndyGambles 03-25-2007, 05:49 AM QuiclSSL Premium certificates are present in mobile devices and smartphones whereas RapidSSL is not therefore the QuickSSL Premium has greater browser ubiquety.
QuickSSL Premium vertificates are still only domain validated. If you want your own company details within the certificate you need something like a True BusinessID OR an Extended Validation certificate.
Connect-Hosting 03-25-2007, 12:20 PM I got myne from NameCheap just keep checking what offers they have on ;)
