Looking for a web host that features business hosting, domain name reg., and email. Must also feature UNIX/CGI scripting support. Any recommendations?

Thats whom I host w/.... Support has always been top notch. When I first signed up had a few problems <30 minute ticket responses....

Uptime is usually great... Occasionally I've had time when the server's gone down for 3-10 minutes usually around 2-4am CST about once a month when I'm coding :D....

Aside from that great company, has my vote.

www.infodoma.com - excellent support, affordable packages (they don't oversell) good uptime, you won't be dissapointed.

www.caihost.com - good support + uptime, can't go wrong here either.

VenturesOnline.com has been great to me. Use the SEARCH feature on this forum to do a search on the hosts you might use.

VenturesOnline.com and AffordableHost.com are my favorites though. Good Luck!

No way. I used them for four months with their cgi not working. They kept promsing me they would fix it, but it never worked. Beacuse my site was a non profit 'enthusiast club' site, the message board was very important. Many people on the HR support board who complained about their cgi message boards not working, were told to use - not just any php board, but- vbulletin instead.
I finally left, and heard people postsing around the web from time to time that the cgi was still unfixed months after.

SimpleUrl (http://simpleurl.com) has been great for me for over a year now. Never once had a complaint and when I had questions support always responds quickly.

Well in reply to me recomending HostRocket. I am only posting my recomendation because of my personal expirience. I have had good results using hostrocket, whether or not other people have, that depends on their situation.
