I'm looking for a digital camera to buy for (hopefully) under $200. Does anyone have any suggestions or experiences close to this price range? Thanks

for under $200 I'd suggest either a Canon or a Kodak - both are quite good, and offer some cheap cameras that aren't too shabby. Maybe some of the HP ones too.

Under $500 I'd look at Sony or Olympus

The Fuji FinePix 2600 is a great 2.1 megapixel cam that can be had for about $200.

have a look at cnet.com digital camera directory... then you may want to check out such sites as camerareview.com and/or pricewatch.com to buy camera for a good price

Wow, I just looked at the specs on this camera and I like it a lot so far. Have you had any experiences with it? The optical and digital zoom seems like a really good feature. I'll start checking some of the review sites posted to see if it's worth getting and start looking at more cameras in that price range too.

i have sony dsc-p30 1.2 megapixel d-cam its really cool. check out my personal web site mahinder.com for my pics drawn by this cam. ;)

i got it for $170. check for bizrate.com for lowest prices for d-cam.

also this cam needs atleast NiMh battries.

steves-digicams.com is the best one for review and sample photos i guess now p31 model with 2.1 Mega Pixel have come and have same price as P 30.

Thumbs up for sony. :agree:

I second that as I own a Fuji. They even come with a battery charger. Nice, affordable, entry level camera.
