View Full Version : DO NOT EVER BUY FROM PARADISE-DESIGNS.net
magnolia 07-04-2002, 10:08 PM i got my refund in the end but this is what happened.
oh i'll post my horror story.
my friend who is so kind enough to teach me about servers told me about them and said he wasn't that good but he is cheap and what i need so i was like okay maybe people are over dramatizing how bad he really is. boy was i wrong!
first of all he started and said he had the server then said he didn't have and i would have to wait the latest by wensday and i was like okay okay thats fine. I gave my 150 up front on a saturday and i would have to wait till that wensday so i didn't have much of a problem. Wensday came @ 10:53PM EST i im'd him online i was like is my server up? he said no latest by tnursday (which was july 4th) i was like no. I didn't pay for thursday I paid when you said wensday. He was like it still could be put up. I was like I run a business as do you which works on business days an hours, I paid for it to be up on wensday day not wensday @ 11pm at night. I would like a refund since you did not do your end of the deal the VERBAL contract is now null and void. (it takes 5 seconds for him to refund my money.) Thursday NIGHT came I was like did you refund my money yet he was like no. I was like if you dont refund my money I'm willing to take this matter to court I dont like to toyed with I work very very hard just to get 150 dollars (i'm 17 my parents make me pay rent, for college for a car etc..i get no slack) he then proceeded to yell at me. Then my friend im'd him and was like it takes 5 seconds he then proceeded to argue with her. After that she was like are you yelling at Amanda? he was like no no no i'm not i apologized and all this other crap. Which he did not so or do, so he lies there. Then i posted a messege about my dealings with him on WHT which then got a firecrack lit under his butt cuz he was like if your refund was processed why did you post. I was like first off I told you when you refund my money messege me or email me. Secondly I want to warn people how horribly you run your business. He yelled @ my friend for calling him timmy and not tim. I then was like you dont do what your say you are going to do and that messes with my time and money. He was like well since your refund is processed can you take the messege down. I was like whatever.
When i had asked for my refund on thursday night he was like WHEN I FIND THE TIME I'LL GIVE IT TO YOU.
in all caps like that.
I will never do business there again.
I cannot believe how long it took to get my refund and how much hassle it took.
alpha 07-05-2002, 12:29 AM probably means that the refund was given to this person... but who knows...
edude 07-05-2002, 03:39 AM lol, i guess the mods should give us a option to delete our own threads
freakysid 07-05-2002, 07:06 AM no, no, no!
The vB code was hacked to prevent the thread starter from deleting the entire thread by deleting their post after the great Pogo Linux fiasco around a year or more ago. Remember that one well ;)
magnolia 07-05-2002, 10:53 AM i put it back up cuz people need to be warned he doesn't deserve my niceness.
EStarr 07-05-2002, 10:56 AM He did finally give her a refund. After she made this post. Like 2 minutes later.
TimPD 07-05-2002, 12:00 PM It didn't take no hassle to get your refund. You ask me for your refund and I did process it and didn't make you aware of it right away.. When you ask for a refund we do as you wish and do so. We apoglized cause the server wasn't online Wednesday and you said you was fine if it come online Thursday and then you come to me saying you wouldn't accept it.
EStarr 07-05-2002, 12:39 PM You told her you would do it Thursday, then Thursday night (after 10pm) you told me that you shouldn't be expected to do it on a holiday. The 4th isn't a full-fledged holiday. Anyway, then you told her you would do it when you got the time, still on the same day. With an hour and a half left of that day, you still insisted it took more time.
You didn't provide good (or any) service and then you tried to hold on to her money hoping she'd stay with your server. You need to take the consequences of your actions. You being reported is a consequence. This isn't the first time it's taken you so long to give a refund, I have proof of that on this board.
I wish you would stop lying. And I wish you would learn to be more professional. If someone requests a refund you do it then, they are top priority.
magnolia 07-05-2002, 12:41 PM i gave a 24 hour notice of my refund. it took over 25 hours to get it and when i did it took me posting my story on this board for him to get me my refund. it is ridiculous what has to be done just to get your money back with this company. i feel for those who've had the same instances
TimPD 07-05-2002, 12:46 PM I will say no more. I don't wish to get anything started.
EStarr 07-05-2002, 12:52 PM You're lying again. You IMed me yelling at me.
And it got started when you decided to lie to the wrong person.
phantasywork 07-05-2002, 12:55 PM waits for Tim's famous line I think this post should be closed :stickout
I would think after the slew of post about tim and his company over the past 30 days that people would learn to stay away from him and this company.

TimPD 07-05-2002, 12:55 PM I haven't yelled at anyone. I said Excuse Me for accusing me of lying. Anyways
Drewcifer 07-05-2002, 01:00 PM Tim, for the love of all that is holy, PLEASE! If you're not going to do what the hell you say you're going to do, DON'T OFFER IT! This business isn't a game. If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen. This is ridiculous. Every 2 days, there's some person posting an angry post here because apparently it's the only way to get you do live up to your promises.
Honestly, I felt bad for you when people were making such a huge deal out of your age. But it's coming down to the wire now, pal. Either do the right thing and conduct your business properly or get the hell out of this business.
TimPD 07-05-2002, 01:07 PM Drewcifer - You Telling Me To get the hell out of the business? Excuse Me?
We provide as we say we provide. The server was taking more time then expected to get online which she was nofited of. She couldn't wait until they come online cause the found a better "deal" with another company which I have nothing against.
We refunded the money upon request and then I alerted her of that which I was browing WHT and saw this post and went ahead and alerted her of it to clear things up which I was about to tell her which it didn't help the matter. I gave her IP of her server as well as pictures of the server she would be on.
Drewcifer 07-05-2002, 01:12 PM Yes, you're damn right I'm telling you that. People like you not living up to their word are a drain on the entire industry.
It is a disgrace that it takes a person posting on WHT to get you to do pretty much anything you have promised.
EStarr 07-05-2002, 01:28 PM When you didn't provide she went looking for another more reliable company. And found it. That is why it was a better deal.
magnolia 07-05-2002, 01:30 PM i run two businesses a i'm 17 no one looks at me for my age because of how i conduct my business. if you conducted your business properly no one would look at you b/c of your age. since you dont and you
have conversions with customers when they say TIMMY
and you say there is no TIMMMY here. and you forced them to call you TIM that is not proper ways to conduct business.
it reflects very poorly on your part when you do that.
and what good does a picture do for me? if i cant use the server why should i want pictures of it?
Samuel 07-05-2002, 01:58 PM Damn I wish you guys would type complete sentences and learn grammar and spelling. There is having typos in your prose, but this is rediculous.
It's like a "He said, She said" school yard fight.
Try this: open Microsoft Word and run your post through it. In doing so you would learn how to type, and also sound better on the boards.
Offended? So am I
:D
thesmallguyshost 07-05-2002, 02:23 PM Did anyone count the number of times magnolia used the word 'like' in her first post?
I stopped after about 893.
mdrussell 07-05-2002, 02:24 PM Well, it's Friday afternoon, and I'm a little bored....
Samuel, 'rediculous' should in fact be 'ridiculous'.
And there should be a full stop trailing 'So am I'. :)
Just thought I'd bring a little humour into these threads ;)
magnolia 07-05-2002, 02:28 PM Excuse me, I dont believe this is about my grammar. I'm typing quickly because I happen to be doing a lot of things at once. Just because I use the word like or he said and she said does not my post any less valid of any one elses. If you do not like how I speak then messege me. Do bash me on my grammar or use of English, as for there is no need to do so. I'm quite learned in the matter of the English language, and just because I do not use proper English all the time does not lessen my responses. I am more than sure no one here speaks perfect gramma 100% of the time. I dont appreciate your hostile remarks towards me there is no need for it, I've not done anything to you. There for I do not see a need for you do or say rude things towards or about me.

Oh yes it does :D
Matt =), was hoping SOMEONE would catch it =P
magnolia 07-05-2002, 02:34 PM Well please leave your comments about me to a private messege and not posing RUDE comments on my own use of the english language on the board. There is no need for it. IT is rude and childish. I do not poke fun at how you write or things you say. I would demand the same respect.
And no it doesn't lessen my intelligence, I do not have to write in grammatically correct english all the time. When it deals with my business and i'm dealing with customers yes I will write properly. When I am chatting as we all do, we do not write properly 100% of the time. If i do not want to write properly i should not have someone make fun of it. this is not a playground where people gang up and mock people out because they speak differently.
Samuel 07-05-2002, 02:37 PM My comment was not directed entirely at you.
That is obvious.
That you are taking it so personally is suspect.
There comes a time when you need to slow down and think about what you are typing and the amount of the lack of that is definitely showing.
magnolia 07-05-2002, 02:40 PM when someone is saying something rude about me i will take it personally. i do not see how i have to write properly just to impress all of you. I know the english language quite well in fact. But I dont necessarily type in it all the time. Nor should it be pointed out and be made the butt of a joke. If i was sitting here saying yo this is whack. That is one thing. I'm not speaking poorly in that since.
EStarr 07-05-2002, 02:50 PM I do believe that using correct grammar, spelling and punctuation all the time does keep you from making those mistakes in every day life, but no one's perfect.
Although she has run on a few sentences, no one has once mentioned the fact that Timmy has not only left out words, but changed them, misspelled them, and completely butchered the english language. I don't expect people writing in a forum to write well because it's more casual. And i definately expect her posts to be a little slurred because she's very mad. Money isn't something you play with but Timmy seems to think it's a game.
BTW, I've been told no Timmy works at P-D, only Tim. Tells me that's a name that was used when he was kid, obviously because he shares his father's name.
My name is Amy, when people IM me saying Aimee or Ami, I don't say "No one by the name of Ami works for E-Starr, only Amy." His maturity (or lack thereof) makes me sick. It's amazing how successful someone like him can be. I don't care about his age. The most dependable company I have ever seen is run (in part) by a 14 year old - it's his maturity. The fact he feels he needs to lie about his age. And his lack of schooling. He may be homeschooled but I don't see it doing anything for him.
I could go on and on about how I feel about this, but it won't matter. Everyone has to learn from their own mistakes and you won't believe it until you see it for yourself.
Timmy, if you expect to have a successful business it's time to grow up. Stop lying. Stop yelling at clients (swearing at them). Start treating your business and your clients with respect. Otherwise, eventually, your connections are going to see you for who you really are and there will be no one left to hold you up.
blazenet 07-05-2002, 02:54 PM Ahhhh, can a mod please close this thread?
It's rather starting to become a flame war than providing useful information. We get the point - don't join Tim. :)
EStarr 07-05-2002, 02:55 PM It was requested by the original poster before. Before Timmy even made his first reply. Hasn't been done yet.
Chicken 07-05-2002, 07:20 PM Thread closed, certainly traveling off into nothingness...
