I have a client on my AIT virtual server. He has a virtual hosting account under my main account. I've been in the process of transferring my accounts to an Alabanza server under another provider.
However, my client uses the AIT shopping cart and is very happy with it. And now he wants to add two more stores as well. Unfortunately, it's just not economical for me to keep my AIT account just for him.
There's two problems:
1) AIT's shopping cart, MCart, is proprietary.
2) AIT provides a secure server for free.
My client doesn't do online payment processing. He receives the orders from MCart PGP-encrypted. He de-crypts them and processes the order himself using his own merchant account.
Problems To Finding A Solution:
1) Alabanza's Ala Cart stinks, so I'd have to convert him (at my expense and time) to another shopping cart system
2) I can't seem to figure out how to replace the free secure server or the PGP-encrypted orders.
3) My client will not want to buy a Thawte or Equifax certificate. And now that he wants to open two more different stores, he'll not want to buy 3 certificates.
Any ideas or suggestions? I'm sure someone here has migrated customers off AIT before or moved customers using unique shopping carts, etc?
I'd appreciate you help.
Thanks in advance,
Sean
