We have an enom account and we have a domain we are using for our resellers. It is an anonymous domain however a client just brought to my attention that when doing a whois lookup of the domain, it comes back with

Registration Service Provided By: Our Company Name

Now, the contact information for the domain is all private and I see no way to change that for the specific domain in the enom account.

Anybody know how we can resolve this problem?

what do you mean all private?

no. Having a domain registered with enom, will yield

in the whois info. However we are using a domain for our resellers for anonymous name servers and we can't have

Showing up in the whois.

That only shows the domain is registered with your company, and has nothing to do with its ownership.

Perhaps a simple way of diverting any attention away from your company is NOT to use your eNom reseller account but say that of another eNom reseller or even another registrar.

I was afraid you were going to say that. I was hoping that there was someway I could just keep it in the same account and not move it or anything.

if you go into MyInfo in the eNom control panel and blank out Organization, then no name will show in the whois, except for the email address.

if you wanted to keep the info viewable for your main account, you could make a separate reseller account under your main one, and leave that organization information blank

then move the domain into that account

btw, there is a reseller "look up" tool on enom's site.

I have checked our domains at eNom but am not able to find this info.
Where did You check this from? (what whois did You use)

I also have one (eNom whois) protected domain for one of my customers.
That info is completely anonymous except from our nameservers.

What you must do is log into your eNom reseller account, create a new sub-account, give it reseller privileges, and then push your domain into that account.

Now, you can set the profile information for that sub-account to whatever you want...

Yep, I did that, thanks.

Sorry guys but that didn't work. I wasted $9 on transferring the domain to a sub account, only to find out this when clicking on the My Info button up top.

The page you are trying to access is only available to the original LoginID.

Page Accessed: /myaccount/editcontact.asp

Absolute, complete waste of $9 :|

Why you need to transfer? A push would have been free.

And you needed to create a reseller sub-account, not a retail account.

And you needed to use the push function (which is free), not a transfer (which is not free).

It sounds like you need to ask your parent reseller for assistance. It's their job to help you.

"The page you are trying to access is only available to the original LoginID."

that is seen when the upstream reseller looks through certain parts of the sub-reseller's account.

try logging into the sub-reseller with ITS OWN login and password.
