Hi ya

I am with ***** using a dedicated server, and this friday I am having RedHat 6.2 installed.

The only trouble is that their account scripts won't work on RedHat 6.2.

What I was wondering is this...

Are there any cheapish Control Panel software that can add domains/setup home dirs with cgi-bins etc

If not, how would I go about adding domains to this server?
If I use Apache's <VirtualHost> how will the DNS server know the server is on my box?

Any llaymans guides?
(I would prefer you lot explaining it than being pointed to a techie HOWTO manual)

Thanks for the help

Cheapish: http://www.plesk.com
Really Cheap: http://www.webmin.com

The DNS server WON'T know the domain is on your box unless you tell it that it si on the box.

Hmmmmmmm... well you *could* know me from somewhere? Not sure how many Chickens there are but I'm guessing there's an odd one or two thousand or so roaming the net. Could it be??? :)

But if you install plesk or webmin on a ***** dedicated server, you will most likely loose any support from them, if you have any to begin with. And with Plesk I know you need a clean install, without any apache, ftp, rpms on the box. From my experience with *****, this is far to much for them to comprehend.

Just my 2cents.
