I'm not sure why this is in a web hosting discussion forum, but its an interesting topic. I'm starting up a site about this type of stuff at lifetheory.com with a friend of mine.........

Interesting.. I don't believe in a god that would create people only to judge them.... I do believe in a greater force, so massive our minds cannot comprehend it.

For those who chose Nothing - it's over, are you a member of a religion which believes in an after-life thing? Why do you not share this belief?

For those who chose heaven, hell, or heaven and hell, why do you think this? Is it because of your religion, or some other reason?

Not if it's Nothing. They'll be too dead to be surprised.

hoo hoo hoo.

"They" say that people like/laugh at humor more about things that they are uncomfortable with.

I think death humor is hilarious.

Does that say something about me?

Over 3,000 years - and still humans have trouble beliving in God?

I wonder at His great patiance with us and praise Him for it - who here can wait thousands of years?

I am an EMT and I think death humor is quite funny too. (Prolly what keeps it all bearable, to be honest)

*shrug* It is a matter of faith, but I have truly seen enough with my own eyes that it's no great leap believing. I know where I'm going... ;)

you spend your eternity reading threads like this one !!! :)

on another note, i think to myself, there is nothing, you die and thats its, then on the other side I think, well what if not believing would stop something from happening after I die, I choose noth to think, I choose to go for the unknown, i simply DONT KNOW and thats pretty much it.

If I dont know something I dont go guessing, unless I have come inclination that I may be right, but I simply dont know, so ill just leave it at that.

In the belief of some religion you reincarnate when you die.
I want to be a super mosquito, 3 times larger than the normal mosquitos. I want to suck blood from mosquitos since they suck so much blood from me now. I want to be a mosquito bully !!!
I will terrorise cockroaches, scare the sh*t out of them cause they have never seen such a large mosquito

Boy... I thought this point would come up sooner... but, I guess it didn't...

You all (especially the business your in) have really forgotten about the most important thing...

Not what happens to you...

But, what happens to your data?...

I mean... You will your house to whomever... but, who gets your personal PC.. (and what about the stuff on it, do you want them to see what you have?)...

What about your business, and all the customer data, and projects, and art work, and designs, etc...

Heck... what happens to all of us?..

I mean if a popular member on this board dies... How would the rest of us know? (Aside if you personally knew someone else on this board)...

I think those (in a internet-centric view) are more important..

What happens when you die? Hmmm well I think you stop breathing, your hearts stops and brain waves quit flowing.

My theory is that when you die you get to see all the people you had an effect on in your life and feel all the same feelings you gave to them. That could be millions that you never know about.

For instance you smile at someone and they have a good day because of it so a guy goes home kisses his wife takes her dinner hugs his kids etc. Then because he did this his wife is nice to the store clerk or her coworkers etc. Where as if you cut a guy off in traffic shoot him the finger he is pissed goes home yells at the wife kicks the dog, beats the kids they in turn are rotten to everyone they meet and so on and so on. So when you die you get to experience the positive and negative you have produced if the positive outweighs the negative then you are feeling good or in heaven, on the other hand if the negative outweighs the good you get to feel the same hurt you inflicted on them directly or in directly hence you are in hell.

At least that is my theory in condensed version it of course goes much deeper than that, and yes I am a believer in God and Jesus.

edude

Woah, nice theory

Elena

If your positive outweighs the negative, but you don't believe in God and Jesus, what happens then?

I like to think of it as nothing - it's over. Why prolong it LOL we hosts eventually need to get some rest. :bawling:

I'll find out when the day comes, personally I think its gunna be poof nothing (after a few mins of my brain playing tricks on me due to lack of oxygen).

But if not o well, i'll take what I get when I get it... till then LETS PARTY! :)

BTW Monte... nice theory, very intresting to say the least, but wouldn't that one lend its-self more to the life cycle and mother earth believers (were all interconnected etc etc) rather than then god/devil beliefs?

Naw it lends itself very well to Gods words, maybe not to organized religions view of it, but from my reading and understanding of the Bible and the deeper meanings from the words I personally get it, fits very well.
