View Full Version : Anybody else getting SLAMMED by RESELLERCLUB "EXTRA" charges to your CC?
hostbox 03-05-2007, 10:16 AM Hi,
I am writting this as it seems like ResellerClub doesn“t want to help, or is blaming my credit card provider (in this case, PayPal).
Everytime I fill my account with money, I get DEDUCTED A FEE of 2.2% from RESELLERCLUB.
Now, I understand this. So If I want to fill my account with $100, I will get charged $100 to my credit card - and added $98.2 to my ResellerClub Account.
Now, this has happened three times now.
I add $150 to my account:
- AUTHORIZATION RESELLERCLUB.COM $2.24
- FINAL SETTLEMENT $151.50 RESELLERCLUB.COM
But when I added $150, they deducted 2.2% from my $150, leaving me with: $146.7 for my account total.
Why is ResellerClub CHARGING MORE than what I asked them $150???
Why are they blaming my CC when it“s not, it is a batch transaction for $151.50 not $150. From THEM, not my CC.
Anybody else experiencing this? If unsure, check your bank statements...
Jojja 03-05-2007, 10:55 AM Resellerclub clearly state this on thier site when you add funds
# For every VISA / Master Card Payment our system will deduct a 2.2% processing fee. The Charge appearing on your Credit Card Statement would display "ResellerClub.com"
# For every Amex / Discover Payment our system will deduct a fee of 30 cents plus 1.9% - 2.9% (depending on your issuing bank) per transaction.
I guess because of their pricing they cannot afford to absorb the credit card processing costs whilst still maintaining a profit
elmister 03-05-2007, 11:17 AM It's in their page, you have to pay processing charges, pay them with wire transfer and you'll save money ;-)
xhackr 03-05-2007, 12:25 PM I think the OP understands the fee. If I understand him correctly, he is saying that he made a $150.00 deposit to his account and understands he will net $146.70 after fees. What he does not understand is he is billed 151.50 for this transaction, and then nets the $146.70 to his account.

This is correct! :agree:

I am no expert on merchant accounts or paypal accounts, but I am pretty sure they are not allowed to pass that cost on to customers like that.

It's not a sale, it's a funds addition, they are allowed to do it, like other registrars do

Without any applicable law or term in any applicable agreement saying the service
or product provider isn't allowed to pass any costs to their end-users, they've all
the rights in the world to do what they want.
The important thing is to be aware, then decide whether you're willing to pay the
price or not.
activa 03-05-2007, 10:33 PM why about calling them by phone .

I am using their Merchant account, this discussion is not about the fees they charge, BUT THAT THEY ARE CHARGING MORE THAN WHAT I AUTHORIZED THEM TO.
And the beuty of it, is that they don´t even refund it back, and say it´s my banks problem.

Well, in the past I never experienced this... If I wanted to add $100 to my account, I would get charged $100.
As of late, this kind of crap is happening getting charged extra $1 or something. Screenshot attached.
How it was BEFORE (should be the same), and how it is NOW (charging me more than what I want).
elmister 03-06-2007, 07:56 AM It seems some kind of 1% charge added
My bank charges me 1% for international payments involving currency exchange, maybe your bank does the same
Jojja 03-09-2007, 08:54 AM is your bank a USD acount?
If not the addition could be because of exchange rates changing from when you purchased and when the bank processed it.

Yeah, it's an US CC. US Bank, and US Currency being charged. I don't see a problem there
