Note that I live in Canada.

Im allready familiar with with merchant account like internetsecure, whihc I have for another website.

My problem, is that I dont really do volume of credit card transaction, when it come to hosting, so im trying to limit per month fee.

There is a perfect solution for Canada.
Call Paymentech Canada and get a merchant account with them. DO NOT agree to anything else like their payment gateway, get pure MID ONLY. Then get USAePAY payment gatewayaccount with VbV/MCSC coming along. You will get pure international processing solution where you can utilize perks available only to the US merchants (such as automatic reversal of ALL VISA USA chargebacks).
PM me for more information if interested.

Authorize.net if only an electronic payment gateway - you still need a merchant account to accept credit cards.

You might also try http://www.collectivepos.com/ as well. And there are others also like Internet Secure gateway. You have a few choices - just a little more difficult than getting a US merchant account

Corey, I spoke with Collective POS guy. They work on FDC Omaha processing platform, which is not good for e-commerce.

They are one of the largest though - Wal-Mart, McDonalds, Dick's, etc and major corporations rely on their network actually.

AFAIK Omaha is good for POS/terminals, but for e-commerce it is better to use Nashville, which in my personal opinion is the best comparing with TSYS and Paymentech.

Not sure what you are saying. It sem complicated a bit.I think he was actually suggesting the merchant account provider Paymentech and then the USAePAY gateway.

Basically to accept credit cards, you need a merchant account and an electronic payment gateway. Paymentech has a gateway they offer but he is suggesting to get another gateway (USAePAY). The gateway is basically the virtual connectivity between your website and the transaction processor.

It seems you need to go through a reseller to get USAePay. Which one would you suggest?

A Paypal account isn't required to make credit card payments. They just don't have an account to log into later to check things out or view their history. We use Paypal and Internet Secure and most of our clients pay with Paypal.

hmm... we work with USAePAY but for some reason they did not put us on the list :( Check their reseller listing in a couple of days.
