We have never used them so far, except the trial we tried, but I have friends using it, especially the owned license and they say it s...u...c...k..s.

I personally recommend a joint solution that we also use: ProvideSupport.com (http://www.providesupport.com) for live chat and IntelloDesk.com (http://intellodesk.com) for Tickets Support. It works very good for us. I know provideSupport has a 10 days free trial also, you can check IntelloDesk.com website for this info, I do not remember right now if they also have a free trial as well.

last time I used intellodesk it did indeed have it's share of bugs and while they seemed eager to announce fixes for them, I nerer saw much of a resoluton. I got tired of waiting and moved to kayako

kayako so far has been very good to us and no problems goign on about a year now

Kayako is my favorite, though like many other apps it has a few flaws in the way it works. Mostly it is terrific and does the job, at least for me. The live chat can log chats into a ticket (not really in the tickets, but available from that interface) in the system, so that ties things together nicely I feel.

Hi

I have personally used kayako for years and found it good, the live chat this have allot of bugs, but the new relase of 3.10.x of kayako is really rock solid and I can finally give it 10/10 :)

I had a lot of trouble upgrading to 3.10 :S Their support is still extremely slow but luckily I've made a few friends who are Kayako Gurus :p

If Chat is that important, I would recommend you move to providesupport but their Live Chat App has much increased stability from when I first started using it back in the day and I consider it an Okay Chat App.

I think Kayako is far and away the most widely used ticketing system in WHT land anyway.......I've been reluctant to upgrade to v. 3 however, as last time I checked (over a year ago) it was unable to show me all open and on hold tickets for all departments in list view. Maybe that has been fixed now.

When you upgrade Kayako, some (if not all) templates need to be restored. If you fail to do so, the software will not work as expected -- new features will not work and bug fixes will not be implimented. When you upgrade from v3.04.10 to v3.10.00, you will have to restore about 8-9 templates.

kayako should do the job. It is a great piece of software and the nice thing is that if it does not work for you then the trial period has got you covered.

support has actually been pretty good to me, generally I get a response in under an hour, an intelligent one. Maybe I have had unique experiences but I cannot fault them from my own experience.

Hi Navid,

I do the documentation for Kayako's products.

It is not complete yet, but you can get a very thorough overview of how tickets are managed within the staff control panel based on a preview release of the Staff CP Manual: http://docs.kayako.net/staffcp/Kayako_SupportSuite_Staff_Control_Panel_Manual_CHM_1.4.0.chm

Thanks,
