View Full Version : How Long for Premium Membership Payment to Process?
jonwatson 03-01-2007, 09:51 PM Hi All,
Just wondering if anyone knows if there actually is anyone working over at INET? I paid for a premium membership last week and have yet to have it applied to my account. Granted, the eCheck only cleared on Saturday, but that was still 6 days ago no. I've emailed INET over 2 days ago, but not response. Two of the mods from WHT here responded to my trouble ticket (good speed, there!) with comments of "good luck getting hold of INET" type of comments.
So...like....am I an idiot for paying for this membership? I see some premium members so I guess they actually do get processed, but what's the normal wait time for it?
Thanks!

but not responseWho did you email?
with comments of No. When you mentioned you contacted iNET, they mentioned that iNET doesn't normally work on weekends.

I'm not in the office until tomorrow and I will check our email server and pull all communications.

You can contact iNET if you'd like at http://www.inetinteractive.com/about/contact.html. But your Premium membership might be in place before you hear back from them. :)
Enjoy WHT!

Since our office hours are Monday - Friday 9am EST - 5pm EST, and Lois cannot see the that you paid via eCheck and that it takes normally 4 business days for that method to clear. Her comment was in reference to that under a normal credit card payment you would be upgraded before the work week starts since credit cards settle much quicker than eChecks.
Personally, I don't see any 'good luck getting hold of INET' type comments.
jonwatson 03-02-2007, 12:34 AM Wow...apparently I used all the right words.OK, I'm willing to accept that I may have read more than was intended into both those comments. The fact still remains, though, that I am still waiting 48 hours and counting for a response to my email to INET as I was directed to do. My payment cleared on Saturday but I guess it can take some time for that info to get back to INET (although 6 days seems a little long). In answer to the question about who I emailed at INET, I used the contact form at INET. I can't remember which department I picked out of the drop down list and I'm on the road right now in a little teeny browser so I can't check.Anyhow, I'm just anxious to get into the premium forums because I see what I hope to be some interesting threads in there and I also want to support WHT. Perhaps I'm being a little impatient in my zeal.Jon

Here is the email we sent you on Wednesday the 28th, I have removed any personal information for privacy reasons. Your payment cannot clear on a Saturday since banks do not process transactions on Saturday, Sunday, or Monday (technically they will start to post transactions after close of business Monday). I had our office manager check and your payment cleared today and you should be upgraded automatically by the system once PayPal posts to our system that your payment has cleared.

Hello,
I have been referred here by the WHT leaders. I paid for a premium membership some time ago and it cleared Paypal two days ago. I would like my account upgraded to Premium status on WHT, please.
Thank you
Jon Watson

That's not true. I routinely have transactions posted to my account on the weekends. I suppose it's possible that the transactions actually occur on the Friday but don't show up on my records until a batch is run, but whatever the case weekends mean nothing as far as my bank records go. Perhaps you're begin U.S.-centric?
Thank you for posting that email. I have no record of that email anywhere. I'm guessing that it was caught in my spam folder which is automagically emtpied every night. I try to get in there every day to see if there's anything I need in it, but it looks like I missed this one. Had I received it, that would have made all the difference.
Looks like everything actually is running as it should. Apologies for being a tad too agressive.
