Good idea or bad idea?

Bad. Think of all the people who don't have the flash plugin...

think about all the people still on dialup.. I had someone that was buidling me a nice flash site and backed out due to the fact of how slow it was on dialup (30 seconds).. When they say comes that everyone is directly connected then I think thats when we are going to see a big change in design.. So for now I am stuck with what I have..

flash looks pretty good done well, but it doesn't have much of a place on a corporate site in my opinion, and even less if it makes any noise.

As a webhosting business you should be trying to show yourself as loading fast, and providing information quickly.. Watching a ...loading... screen doesn't really go a long way to showing that.

8 times out of ten nowdays the moment I see a loading screen and it doesn't start within 10 seconds or so I'm off elsewhere - better things to do

Thanks guys, I was thinking the same thing.
However most of the PixelBrick flash headers, got me thinking-- why not just an entire site.

Flash sites are cool but i am on dialup atm and i hate having to wait for them. The best solution to get the best of both worlds is to have an entrance page with Enter Flash Site and Enter HTML Site. That way people get the choice

I'm not that in to flash, so I'd say no.
