Thanks. dbzgod 07-03-2002, 08:45 PM http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=32544 There is a list of php editors that people liked. Myself I use PHPed taz0 07-03-2002, 09:35 PM http://www.jedit.org/ ScottD 07-03-2002, 09:41 PM vi. How could you not just love an editor that can solve a maze? Seriously, I've been using vi for the last 10 years and just can't seem to find anything that really replaces it in my heart. The only time I don't use vi is when I'm working in MS Visual Studio, obviously not working with PHP in that case. a:\ 07-03-2002, 09:43 PM ZendStudio :D roly 07-03-2002, 10:38 PM EditPlus - http://www.editplus.com alpha 07-03-2002, 10:50 PM Originally posted by roly EditPlus - http://www.editplus.com I second EditPlus :D Studio64 07-04-2002, 12:38 AM Originally posted by alpha I second EditPlus :D 3rd that... Great program... Simple, quick, php highlighting, FTP upload options.... Great program.. RRolfe 07-04-2002, 12:45 AM me personally i edit my php scripts on the server so i use pico. mwatkins 07-04-2002, 01:40 AM Primalscript (soon to be named Primalcode with .NET support) from Sapien. Supports a dozen or so languages including PHP, includes autocomplete for keywords, etc. I'm sure there's others but once you get used to one, you tend to stick with it. webx 07-04-2002, 02:00 AM HomeSite :) in love since 3 years now :D can work with JSP, ASP, CFM, HTML, JavaScript, CSS as well ;) But worked with EditPlus and PHPEd as well. They work too ;) KDAWebServices 07-04-2002, 07:18 AM HomeSite mdrussell 07-04-2002, 07:36 AM Visual Interdev delpino 07-04-2002, 07:39 AM i second homesite.. tried many different editors, always go back to homesite :) webx 07-04-2002, 10:36 AM I heard they have stopped HomeSite further :( now the product is called DreamWeaver MX :o But seems to have combined the DreamWeaver and HomeSite technologies into this MX  KDAWebServices 07-04-2002, 10:40 AM Well HomeSite 5 was released only a month or two back, it was released as Macromedia HomeSite 5. So I can't seem them having killed it already. I for one would never pay 3 times as much for Dreamweaver MX just to get the HomeSite functionality - I'd rather use Notepad. iamdave 07-04-2002, 06:54 PM I use Dreamweaver to edit PHP and HTML Source, Dreamweaver MX, has some neat features, it parses out some of the PHP in the design mode. Neat stuff. |
