I'm in urgent need for a cc merchant, i've read that world pay have been highly reccomend on here, as a lot of people on here use their services could you please take a minute or 2 to answer a few questions about them:

1. What is the application process like, do they do credit checks and checks to see if your a registered business?

2. Can poeple pay in us dollars or euros and the transaction rate stay the same and these funds are automatically concerved into UK sterling when they are put into my bank?

3. Do I need to have a business bank accont to use with worldpay and are these hard to set up?

4. Does the £150 anual fee need to be paid 12months after you first sign up or do you pay the first 12 months upfront?

5. Is their payment gateway easy to integrate into a ordering process?

6. Anyone had any problems with worldpay? How did their support people handle your problems?

7. Is there validation process reasonable but not too strict that it will reject orders when a customers enters their address for example in the wrong case or a small spelling mistake?

8. Can I take orders locally (not on the internet) and then myself enter the customers cc details onto worldpay?

9. Could I use my account with WP on more than one website? E.g. if I opened up a online store could I use my WP account to accept cc's as well as my hosting site?

thanks in advance for taking the time to reply I really do appriate it!

i'd suggest that you go with revecom.com, dunno much about 2checkout.

The one thing I don't like the most for WP is that funds are transferred to your account after 4 weeks. That means if you made a sale this week, the money will only be available 4 weeks from today. I don't see this as a problem for ppl with +ve cash flows but for those who don't have that luxury, it's a serious problem.

Puggy106 has already answered your questions, but just to add to it... it's very easy to integrate WorldPay into your current billing system, the payment page can be customised quite a bit. We've been with WorldPay for about 11 months now and we certainly do recommend them to anyone who's looking for a company who has worldwide branding, provides great customer support and offers easy credit card processing solutions.

Mark,

Since you're in the UK, just for an alternative, I can highly recommend that you also consider SecPay:
http://www.secpay.com/

We have used them for over 2 1/2 years and can only sing their praises. They have very quick support and friendly staff. I'd suggest simply mailing your WorldPay questions to them and compare their responses.

If you are needing a real cheap alternative try paystamp.com
Otherwise 2checkout seem the best bet.
