I got this message from the server in an email.
Over the past fifteen minutes, the CPU has been heavily loaded.
This will result in noticible performace loss. Consider moving some of the services to other Cobalt servers, or reduce the complexity of the CGI scripts running on the Cobalt server itself.
1 minute load average: 3.03
5 minute load average: 17.23
15 minute load average: 13.53
Should I be terribly concerned about this?

If I were you, I will type "top" command and see if there are any scripts/process which take a lot of CPU resources.
Of course if there's any - you will need to kill them. And then you may reboot your box.
If this happened many many times, you may consider to upgrade you box (memory, processor, etc)

That's nothing... if u wanna see loads - look up there! :D
...I got 128 megs ram on the box and another 128 megs swap on disk.. Once every few weeks stuff goes nuts for some reason and disk swap is fully used and then since my page has a lot of cgi calls for ssi includes it keeps attempting to do them without memory and load goes through the roof...

That message is sent to you specially if you use mysql, it seems to use a lot of memory, so if you have a heavy database or scripts that take a lot of resources you should consider upgrading your server.

Currently I am not running any CGI scripts. I have a raq3 from 4 webspace which is running a vbulletin message board. Right now I am running 64meg of ram. Will upgrading the ram help? If so, what should I use? 128, 256, what?

256 MB RAM is good for your box.
But if you have limited budget, 128MB RAM will work just fine too.

check the online users. I run a vbulletin and if I reach 50 or so people online it starts lagging a lot. I have 128 Mb in RAM. If you have a busy board you should really consider upgrading to 256.
