I'm concurring with 311... The pop-up's are probably the cause of crap filled spy ware installed on yalls systems.

Here's some pretty good freeware to help you with that:

if you're still not convinced what low people scumware writers are check out this from Lavasoft's website:
http://www.lavasoft.de/latest.html

Even if you run Adaware it would be worth making sure you're using the latest version of it, with the reference file updater.

I've included the secret of not getting popups in the picture. I dont understand why some poeple have their tray bars filled with running programs they are not using! I have Kazaa on my system and only get popups when it is running.

You know those things they have load on pages but you can't close them? Like stuff on launch.com you'll just see something go across the screen and then it leaves. Errrr Will it ever stop?

Definately Kazaalite and use adaware to get rid of those local programs that serve popups to you. They're annoying as all hell.

Personally, I like to block all connections from the site using 0click (http://www.nsclean.com/zeroclik.html) first, then enter them in the POW! list.
Scroll down to Browser add ons and look for POW! (http://www.analogx.com/contents/download/network.htm)
While 0click will not stop the pop up, from popping up, it will stop any connections from the site it is comming from (kind of like choppping them off at the knees!) so that what pops up will be a 404 or "file not found" window, plus the added advantage of no cookies (to track you) being loaded. Also sites on which ads are displayed from the blocked site will be blocked so that they will not show up. How nice.
Now about that spyware - I believe someone already gave you a good link to get rid of it. Do this as well, because those pop ups are only the tip of the iceburg.
