Well, this will continue the newbie question series ;)

We are a local web-development company, trying to offer hosting to our clients. I've been researching already but still w/o the right decision, maybe this thread will help?

We need both UNIX/Linux and NT. I mean on the one hand cheap hosting for little projects (cgi/ssi/php etc.) and e-commerce on the other (ASP/ColdFusion/Shopcards/cc). What do you recommend? Combining two separate providers or maybe there is one offering all that features?

Another req is support for international domains (i.e. not only com/net/org)

Thanks for suggestions!

While members ponder your post, check out this rather long thread of providers who are members here at:

Chances are you'll see a bunch that might interest you and you can search for their posts on the board to get an idea of them.

well.. i got two options

1. Find some good UNIX host and other NT, which fits my clients' needs, and try to combine them. But there is a problem with ns1&ns2.mydomain.com - or have two domains at once?
I guess the prices would be high anyway.

2. Can anyone tell something good or bad about experthost.com ? Seems they are just what i'm looking for.

milkMan21,

Just to catch the second question. Any host should be able to handle international domains, so that shouldn't be too much trouble for you. A few weeks ago we had a customer come to us with an .md extension. :)

The Linux/NT combo might be a little trickier to nail down though. Still if it can be done, you're at the right place to get an answer.

I am sure he hosted that .md domain on Windows based server ;)
