This is really pissing me off now. I just went through and unlocked domains under my registerfly account (50 domains) only to find that the fcuking this doesn't actually unlock it!!!

How an I to transfer these domains without having them unlocked! I can see the AUTH codes - 1 of 2 done....not just need to get it UNLOCKED.

Unfortunately, you cannot do anything right now.
All of us are in the same boat.

Complain to ICANN. I have as should you all.
I know they're on it but keep hammering them.

Where do you report this?
I have 60+ domains that I need unlocked. Of which, I only have 25 of the AUTH codes.

If they are registered under eNom, talk to eNom.

Thanks, but they aren't - they're under Registerfly

I am having the same problem. I currently have 3 domains held with registerfly being the registar. I've managed to disable protectfly, updated my whois information on all domains so now it's visible, and got the auth codes. I started a godaddy account and tried to transfer the domains but it gives me the error: Pending Unlock or Hold Release (which translates to Registrar Status: clientUpdateProhibit in whois language). So the transfers have all failed.

Anyone have any suggestions?

how did you go about transferring your domain? i did everything step by step but currently my domains say that clientTransferProhibited which is stopping my new registar from transferring my domains.

Can you be more specific about what works please? Are you referring to the fact that you successfully transferred your domain, or that you obtained your Auth Code? We already can get Auth code on some domains, not on others; for whatever reasons....

Yes, I am also be able to unlock the domains today. After unlock, I checked from DNSStuff and the domain status indeed changed to ok. It seems now RegFly starts to do some right thing.

Some of my domains do have the AuthCode while some others not. I have choosed one domain name which have the AuthCode and initilized a transfer out to GoDaddy to see what will happen next.

After all these problems on Registerfly I want to transfer some of my domains to another service, but some domains are registered from first days of february (so less then 60 days): I have to wait 60 days before transferring or I can do it now?

Embattled domain registrar RegisterFly will lose its accreditation if it can't fix serious operational problems in the next 15 days. ICANN has informed the New Jersey-based registrar that it is in breach of its operating agreement, threatening enforcement action (PDF) after months of complaints from RegisterFly customers. The registrar's operations have descended into chaos this week, with its web site paralyzed amid allegations that the former president and CEO misused company funds.

As the company's principals battle one another, thousands of domain names have been caught in the crossfire. RegisterFly says that at least 75,000 customer domains expired as a direct result of the company's financial and management problems. RegisterFly is also an SSL certificate authority, making its stability an issue for about 460 site owners who are currently securing sites with FlySSL certificates.

A lawsuit filed by RegisterFly's parent company, Unified Names, blames the meltdown on misuse of company funds by President and CEO Kevin Medina, who was fired by the company's board. The suit alleges that Medina spent company funds on liposuction surgery and escort services. "After his termination, Mr. Medina deleted email accounts, access to support tools, and access for our risk/billing department to issue refunds," RegisterFly's Glenn Stansbury said in a statement posted at RegisterFlies.com, a customer protest site. RegisterFly is also reported to have changed the root password of its web server to prevent sabotage.

I talked to enom regarding one of my domains.
No responses yet.

If they are registered under eNom, talk to eNom.

They're probably different TLDs, all TLDs don't have the Auth Codes..
