Hello Guys how are you all

i have just small questions about using

ns1.mydomain.org
ns2.mydomain.org

is that name server strange or not working properly like ns1.mydomain.com or work like it with the same performance :)

i think that it must work with the same performance

can i use it as a nameserver

like ns1.anydomain.org and ns2.anydomain.org

The answer is yes you can....however, you will need to setup the nameservers at the registrar so they point to resolve at your server's IP address(es).

Hello,

.org will work Ok for name servers, but I believe you get the best performance when using a .com TLD for name servers.

Well AFAIK, only nameservers on .info tld requires extra lookup times.

Hmm, thanks, I'll have to d-check as I could have sworn this was also a factor w/ .net and .org TLDs w/ name servers
