View Full Version : Registerfly made me laugh today

I have been furious (and still am) with registerfly. I had been trying to remain a customer, but they have forced me out. Failed renewals, blocked from site, auth codes being withheld. Support tickets and emails ignored for weeks and months. People cannot help when I call.

So....What made me laugh is that I went to login today and their SSL certificate has expired. I am sure that they will replace it soon, but it is a perfect example of how they run their business.

I hope others find this amusing.

Could have something to do with the fact that enom terminated them as a reseller.

Hi,

I have the same problem:

unable to renew domain names for days: "Failed: Unable to renew Our system is experiencing technical difficulties, please try again later."
all auth-codes disappeared meaning I also cannot transfer domains away that expire
trouble tickets and emails being ignored for days, no reply yetI contacted Enom, but am not sure if they can help, as Regfly is the official registrar for most of the domain names.

What can we do?
I cannot renew domain names and I cannot transfer them away...
Any suggestion?

Check this out for weird........

On Friday night I submitted a support ticket to registerfly because I could not renew 2 domains.

When I reviewed my submitted ticket I noticed somebody elses support ticket was embedded in mine. They had the exact same problem!!

Their system is a mess!

Probably due to huge amount of submitted tickets they are fusing similar ones. Still a bad practice.

I very much doubt they are "fusing similar ones" on purpose.

There is no logic to this. People submit sensitive information in support tickets and this can only cause problems for both registerfly and the domain owners.

Their system is obviously screwed up.

I have a few domains that's about to expire.. i've received enom's email about migrating to them.. and .. SURE.. however enom only emailed me for a select few domains. i have sent lots of emails to enom about my other domains which i'd like to gladly move from regfly and renew it on their system.. they have not replied yet.. NOT EVEN TO ATLEAST 1 of the many emails i've sent them.

I remember begging them for my auth codes too.. etc etc.. they have never replied..

This gives me the impression that enom is just like regfly when it comes to support.. >:(

I was trying to help a custromer with the same type of thing yesterday. Serverfly have become a bit of a joke. The guy in question has some domains there and it looks like he's going to be lockd out due to some backend issues with RegFly and, as I understand it, blocking transfers.

If you're affected by the RegisterFly shenanigans at all then http://www.registerflies.com/ is worth a visit.

That looks like more ID-10-T errors from registerfly.

Yesterday, I logged into my RF account, and as usual it still showed two domains still with them. (their system has no idea what is where anymore ;-) Everything of mine is safely away.

But I thought I would try some buys and changes etc.

I think RF has continued using the Enom whois and other backend funtions ever since they became their own registrar. I could not find any RF connection to any tld databases. I think the 30 day notice from Enom was a way of pulling the plug on all the services RF was getting from Enom to support the RF registrar. In my new Enom account, the domain control panel is the same as the RF panel, down to the icons. Even the whois protection- which is probably why no one has control of it from the RF panel anymore. Also, I wonder how much RF owes Enom for services?

Why is this smelling so much like the WebHostPlus rip-off? Started same time (Feb 06), same area (NJ), same ownership (East Europe), and same stories (hacked, cs lies, no staff + long list).

I'm not surprised their SSL cert is expired, they probably had to call their own tech support to get it done before it expired. LOL :D

The two partners are fighting, one locked out support from the database
and they can't do anything.
My advice if you have a com, net, or tv expiring call or email Verisign
and explain it to them.
If it's an .info get ahold of Aplus the Registrie for .info and explain it to them.
I'm sure they know about the problum, I know Verisign does.

It is farely recent news and I was only trying to help. Your personal attack on me was totally uncalled for. I have been a member here since 2004. I never have nor ever will "troll" this or any other forum. If there was a post that wasn't necesary in this thread, it was yours.

Sorry OP if my post was not related. I do not use registerfly but saw the "recent" news on my Enom reseller homepage.

I was amazed too when i tried to log in to my account at Registerefly and I was being cautioned that their SSL certificate has expired. This says alot. The company is already dead. Kelvin Medina, the CEO is frustrated and doesn't give any damn for any domain, this makes the whole situation worse. For those of us who have domains with Registerfly, let us not cease in looking up to God to intervene. You know, for many of us, our domains mean our daily bread and must never be toiled with. Jesus is in control!

No, They are working things out as fast as possible. Lets see you try to manage 200,000 customers and have someoen sabotage with your internal business.
