Does anyone know of a good alternative, or maybe something better? It does not have to be free, but that is always a plus :)

With 4images gallery script, you can upload images by ADMIN permissions settings. In addition, with a MOD called: Batch ZIP Import, you can import images with a ZIP file if you wanted too. ;)
