Mr_Ghost 02-15-2007, 10:50 AM Iam working on a useful vide website (download and stream) and I want to know which extension (media player ,real player , flash ,.......) is the best for me space & bandwidth) and for the visitor. thanx dyna! 02-15-2007, 11:25 AM Well, if you generally look at sites like YouTube and Google and so on, you'll notice the mostly stream it in flash now. Real format, I really have nothing good to say about, I find it annoying and don't even have a player installed for it. GLucas 02-15-2007, 11:28 AM From my personal experience I would say media player or flash. dgarbus 02-15-2007, 12:24 PM Flash for sure...it works on pretty much every major operating system. prunelsolutions 02-15-2007, 12:27 PM Will recommend you "FLASH" MegaHosters 02-15-2007, 12:32 PM Flash for sure. C ldcdc 02-15-2007, 01:05 PM Thread moved to Web Design and Content. Personal opinion: I don't like Real one bit. Instance 02-16-2007, 09:58 AM Undoubtedly, the winner is *FLASH*:) Mr_Ghost 02-16-2007, 12:19 PM thanx 4 ur replies but what about (downloading) the video file ! should I upload the same file twice with two formats? one for watching it online and another (media or real or ..) for downloading? Jatinder 02-16-2007, 01:28 PM Just in case you need an encoder to encode movies to FLV (Flash Video) format , take a look at http://www.rivavx.com/ . They got a free FLV encoder. |
