Hi all,

I am looking for the cheapest reliable WHM/reseller i can find, ideally it needs to be under $10 (a very low budget i know).

Any suggestions are welcomed.

Matt

I can't seem to edit my above post so...

Overselling is not required, must be able to host 20+ domains and should have atleast 70GB transfer+

Plan "addons" (i.e. $x/mo for +xGB bw) is preferred.

Is your budget $10 per year or per month?

Search (http://www.webhostingtalk.com/search.php) the "Shared and Reseller Hosting Offers" forum for BudgetReseller.com posted by Lubby

My domain hosted with BudgetReseller.com is ATOTChat.com (http://www.atotchat.com/)

You might want to raise your budget a little if you want reliable hosting. 70gb of transfer for under $10 with a reliable provider is going to be difficult to find. However there are plenty of insane offers available, just be sure to search for reviews on the provider before signing up with them :)

Best of luck!

I agree with Ali, the budget may be on the low side, especially if you're looking for a reseller package.

Yeah i also agree that $10 is too low, however i was wondering just by chace if anyone knew any :)

I have taken a look at budgetresllers, my problem with them is the 40gb BW cap.

If you can increase your budget to $20/month when I recommend Hostdime. Reliable hostings cannot be too cheap.

Believe me, if there was already a reliable provider offering that service at that price point, they would be quite popular. :) Hmmm, maybe a market opportunity.....

cheap and reliable dont fit in the same context my friend :)

$10/mo can get you a decent package. Look in the reseller offers section

just a matter of finding the right host, there are quite a few individuals out there who have very decent hosting (no 24/7 support though) for your price range.

like it was mentioned in another thread and by various people here, $10 is very much on the low end for reliable. Take a look at budgeresellers they are one of the few low cost resellers that I would recommend.

Any particular services, control panels or features that are important to you? Planning to run your own hosting company or just host a few of your own websites? Your ideal host will vary depending on exactly what you need.

The best way to find a cheap price would be the deals forums tons of hosts tend to post some nice deals so 25% off all accounts or whatever. Of course some are unreliable so searching this forum for their name after finding a deal that seems nice would make sense so that you can find the reliable part as well.

Thanks for the help/advice all, i have found "coldmedia".co.uk who seem reasonable, anyone got any opinions on them?

I'm not looking to start a host, doing that on a reseller, especially one so small would not be a smart move imo...I'm just looking to find a reseller i can use to host my own sites and a couple of my clients without addon domains :)

I would say $10 is a reasonable budget to host a few personal websites with a small reseller plan.

BUT I happen to know Coldmedia has 1 server and uses it for a game server hosting and web server hosting.

Not a good idea, even so their resellers are cheap.

It has to be asked, how do you know this?

Damn not being able to edit posts, heh.

Anyway i know someone with a reseller account with coldmedia and so far (the few days he has had it) the speed and support have been great. (i have an account on it)

But if what VT6 says is true, then i won't be using them.

I have spoken to the owner a few times over IM. He's a nice guy and his business practise seems sound but when he told me he was using 1 server for game hosting and web hosting I was a little shocked.

I'm a little surprised at that as well, it seems to be having no negative effects right now though.

(some sites currently hosted with them are http://mattjewell.com , http://zluf.com , http://casualart.com) (that's not intentional advertising lol)

I'm sure if they get busier they will separate the two. If you see no perforamce difference there is no problem If you start to notice a problem i would then approach them.

Stating the level of Bandwidth you are seeking (70GB) along with the budget you want to work with ($10) sound like a recipe for disappointment.

I wish you luck finding a home that will meet your needs.

If you do find that special place, please read their terms of service.

I agree with 'wantingawebsite'. Sometimes when a host starts off, they use techinques such as using one server to host two different devisions, however, when they grow, they begin to seperate the two. In the future, you may still have the same price you pay today, however, with the performance of a high-end reseller

Thanks for your kind words VT6. When we spoke was quite a while ago (if im not wrong), and I was just testing a Counter strike server. We havn't actually had any running for several months, and when we were testing them out I ensured that the server could handle it and wouldn't comprimise clients.

Anyway, just thought I would clear that up. Best of luck to everyone and best of luck with VT6! :)

Kind regards,
