View Full Version : 2checkout recurring transaction
thomas830 07-02-2002, 01:38 PM hey,
i'm posting here cause i know that i'll get the answer faster than anywhere else...
okay. i have recurring transactions, ie. one started on 6-1-2002 yesterday (7-1-2002) it supposed to be billed again, but I didn't get any email that transaction was billed again, in the admin panel it says that only one installments was billed (the first one on 6-1-2002) I didn't get email that transaction didn't go through...
Can someone tell me if 2checkout sends email notifications of sucessful or unsucessful attempt to bill recuring transaction?
thomas
beglobal 07-02-2002, 01:42 PM They do send out notifications, but they sometimes are off by a day or two when billing recurring transactions. I would give it another day or so and see what happens.
thomas830 07-02-2002, 01:46 PM okay, thanks for quick reply...
I just also got answer for my other questions from TomD at 2checkout. thanks once again.

2Grumpy 07-03-2002, 12:31 AM I haven't had any come in since Sunday, which means probably tonight while I'm asleep about 100 recurring bills will post.
It's not uncommon to get 2 or 3 days worth all at once in a big flood.
AH-Tina 07-03-2002, 03:30 AM Is there anyway for a customer to submit a single payment....and then you're able to make it recurring? Or, does the customer have to resubmit it as a recurring payment?

RackNine 07-03-2002, 03:32 AM Tina,
You cannot transfer between the two. 2Checkout has very hard set guidelines for the two types of transactions and there's no way to switch in between them.
I'd imagine it's a safety feature, no paying more than you expect :)
Sincerely,
-Matt

2Grumpy 07-03-2002, 07:38 AM Just a note, I didnt' get any recurring notices last night, probably some kinda month end deal happening that has to finish before they post new recurring orders but man when they do post, whoo boy, I'll be flooded.

The payment gateway has kicked out recurring billing since 6-30.
We continue to try running the batches.
We've been promised all will run today.
2Grumpy 07-03-2002, 11:34 AM Ya I just got 48 recurring transactions, didn't bother looking up to see what date that got up through but figured it wasn't all of them as I think the 27th or 28th was the last recurring I remember seeing so 48 didn't look like enough :)
I was expecting at least 65 or 70 or more :D
