View Full Version : Registerfly only says I didn't!

Well, this is kind of weird!

I have dozens of domains with registerfly. I placed an order for renewing a domain 3 months before its expiry date. A week later, all whois sites updated their databases and started to show that the domain will expire in 2008. Great! But only registerfly's whois didn't show that! Additionally, the domain moved to "Soon to Expire" then "Expired" domain sets! There are many tickets between me and them and there are many chat sessions where operators told me that they could not find the order and I gave them their nuimber so they promised it would be settled in 24 hours!

Now they ignore tickets that are related to this domain only and reply to other issues :confused:

I had to pay again for renewing the domain. It has been like 4 days now and it was not yet renewed. All I need is that they move it to the regular domain set so that I can move it away to any registrar. I already learned the lesson and moved all soon to expire domains to godaddy. Whenever I receive a notice, I move the domain :)

BTW: We are a month and a half beyond *registerfly's* expiry date and the domain still works!

Any ideas of what can be done?

do you have the Auth code? if yes, transfer it away.

If they say you didn't renew it, search the credit card charge and ask them why did they charge you some amount on some date

Lordo, read the horror stories around and be scared. Check the forum here, and the site registerflies.com
I already lost 3 domains, and I'm transferring the remaining ones...

And did you get the email from Enom? If not, check the email you have in your whois. If you use protectfly, remove it, and if you can't do it, ask them to do it.

elmister - That is what I am after! I asked them to renew it so that I get the authorization code. I am already moving all the domains (like 98 domains).

Coupons - I expected that but I didn't do a real search here. I will search now. And yes I got the email from Enom and I clicked "agree" on the domain push report right away :)

Sorry to hear that you lost 3 domains. That is way beyond horrible, we all know. Very bad how a company that once was very promising is dying now.

Yep, I worked with since 2002. Spent much money there, but things went downhill...
Hope you get your domains safely away.

How to get the Auth code? I want to transfer. It is not online. Last week they told me it would be fixed in 24 hours.

Always check whois with the registry's AUTHORITATIVE whois. If it's a .COM, go to:

http://registrar.verisign-grs.com/whois/

Coupons: Thank you. Nothing is worse than losing a domain, specially when it is not because of you!

Leo Krans: Well, they will probably keep saying so. I hope you get it online soon. After that, click my domains, click the domain, click the link that modifies your information as a registrant and you will find the auth. code in the bottom of this page. You will need it to transfer the domain.

nameslave: It is a .biz domain and it is my own business domain name. Where should I check? All whois sites say it is renewed (but registerfly).

Lordo: It is not there. It only says "Auth code" And the rest of the contact info is all blank now. When updating I get "Password error". I am logged in. And I am not changing my password, because maybe they lock me out. And all my domains are unlocked and I can't lock them anymore. They are one big disaster.

Oh I just saw a post where someone said he can't see the auth. code and when he opened a ticket, they told him they are aware of this and they working on fixing it!

Same story for me. Thursday they told me it would be fixed in 24 hours. Probably they only count the hours they are not drinking coffee.

Same here. My auth codes are not there. They will not respond to my tickets either.

Thanks for the URL. It says my domain will expire in 2008 :) RF says it expired. What a mess!
