Hi, i am a total newbie trying linux (comming from windows 2k adv srv) Well i had the server installed with gnome, and that is what i was using. Then somehow, i switched it to twm or something, so i type in switchdesk

when the window pops up i select gnome, and click ok

then i get this

'your desktop configuration has been successfully updated, but you must update the x window system for the changes to take affect'

How do i do that?
