Currently it still is, who knows how long before they fix it. Check it out for yourself though, just enter any domain and click Take Me Back! However, I must warn you it's not for youngsters!

Anyone know details on that way back machine?

How in the hell do they keep ALL that info?

It blows my mind that they have that much information.

There was an interview somewhere a few months ago, they have about 400TB of storage over a pretty big cluster, with some dedicated crawlers that just go out and archive pages, day in and day out. It'd be fun to play with :)

If I had money, I'd definately donate money to them, because that could end up being useful to a lot of people down the road, but then again, it could just be a toy to play with.

hmmm...

yeah, lameass hackers... instead of supporting that site by telling WHAT they were doing wrong, they plainly used it for their own benefit.

You're wrong. It puts more pressure from the people AND the media to fix their hole.

True, still, it would also have been a very good pressure if he would really prove that he was in and show them what was wrong...

I would be so scared if someone would find out.

People that hacked apache.org won't even bother with any site on this forum.
