Hey Guys,
I just got a VPS account that has Cpanel and I have no idea how to add my domains to my account. I'm used to my old Cpanel that I had with my shared host that had a "Addon Domain" button to add new domains to the account and then the "File Manager" button to manage all the files. I don't see these anywhere on my Cpanel for my new VPS. I know this cpanel is different cause I have access to a lot more features but where do I start to move all my sites to my VPS? Are there any tutorials out there cause I did a little search here and also on Google and didn't seem to find anything?
Thanks!
Alex

Do I have to set up an end-user account to my own websites? If so, should I set one up for each site or just one account and use the sub-domain funtion of that account?
Thanks,
Alex

I would recommend you create one end-user account through the WHM interface. You can do this by logging into the WHM interface then clicking on the "Account Functions" icon on the right side of the screen, then clicking on the "Create New Account" button. If you are going to be the only one using this account, I'd leave everything to unlimited unless you really want to make sure you don't use too much of a specific resource for this website.
Once you create an account, you can then login to your cPanel interface for that account by going to https://yourip:2083 where yourip is the IP address of your VPS. You will be prompted for your username and password. You can enter the username and password you supplied when using the "Creat New Account" function in WHM.
Here you will see your familiar cPanel interface and should feel more at home.
Personally when I was managing multiple websites, I would have one login per domain but that's only because I liked the ability to sell off an entire website without worring about what account it was linked with and all that stuff. If you like doing the addon domains thing then do things that way, it's all a matter of personal preference.
However you do need a minimum of one end-user account to get things started with regards to getting a website up on your VPS.

WOW....thanks for that great answer...That's just what I was looking for. I didn't realize with a VPS/Dedicated you had to create an end-user account to host your sites. Now I know what to do.
Thanks again!
