hi,..

Set up a new account today.. seems when they send email, their return address is normal/correct.

But if you got the email and hit reply, it shows:
www.name.com@www.dns.com

and the mail wont go thru..

anyone have any idea's?

ciao

Sounds like they entered their domain name in the "Reply To:" box under user prefferences.
That would create the result you describe.

sorry my mistake, this is how the return email looks:

bill@www.mydnsserver.com

it should be bill@website.com

the original message, once reply is hit shows everything correctly, but the address in the TO: part is in correct as above..

problem is solved... Looks like you "should" leave the field REPLY TO: Blank..

they did not.. in return it messed up the whole thing..

have fun.

Right. If they put a real email address in there, all is well. But, if they put in something whack, it's kinda crudded.

I have the same problem, and would love to get a solution!

By default every user has his addy as user@www.domain.com and I would like to have it user@domain.com by default...

Anyone any idea?

Thanks in advance

go to site administration and make sure the site has:

Accept Email for Domain

checked off...that should take care of it.
