This rate was received from reseller/affilate/partner of WorldPay.

Visa/Master
Setup Fee: $285
Annual Fee: $490
Transaction Rate: 4.5% + $0.08
Transfer Charge: $4.50
Transfer Period: Weekly 4 weeks in arrears.

Amex
Transaction Rate: 5.5% + $0.08

What do you think those cost/fee compare to other worldpay's offers?

If you are using WorldPay currently, please let me know how is it?

Is this for a direct merchant account with your own descriptor or for the use of their WorldPay Direct system (where WorldPay will appear on statement?).

I have definitely seen better rates available with other processors.
You can especially save on the set up fee and annual charges, ask them if these could be removed. A lot also depends on how much sales volume you have, but if I were you, I would also contact other companies like MultiCards, Metacharge and ChronoPay to see what they can offer. I know MultiCards offers a flat fee of 4.95% + 0.45 USD per transaction against a set up fee of 49 USD, but you will be able to negotiate a better rate depending on your sales volume.

On the other hand, the per transaction charge of 0.08 USD is very low. Question remains how much you would save on that, that will depend on the number of orders you have on a weekly basis.

In my opinion, this is an average offer from WorldPay, nothing special if you ask me. By the way: I don't use WorldPay.

WorldPay is expensive in US, but their rate and remittance period is quite reasonable for many countries.

The rate you got is pretty standard from WorldPay.

LowAsYou, where are you geographically located? Whether that pricing is good or bad will be partially dependent on that. :)

The other factor - outside of pricing - to really pay attention to is the funding time period. For example, WorldPay's one month delay can be very difficult for some merchants to cope with.

Cashflow is very important, especially to a new business, so the funding time can have a big bearing on whether or not the solution will work for you. Beyond that, it really depends on a combination of both your monthly volume and your average ticket size.

For instance, if you have a very small ticket size - the per transaction cost will have a greater impact than the % rate. If you have a very large ticket, the reverse will be true.

I'm struggling with this issue at the moment. I'd like to accept payment in Pounds for my UK clients. I don't think CDG does this. Worldpay are quite expensive. Are there any alternatives? My tickets are relatively high at ~ GBP1500 per ticket, maybe ten tickets a month.
