I have realized a new way to get "1000 posts in 24 hours." A little sample from my book that will be published in August 2002:

"Simply go to the Web Hosting Special Offers forum, go to page 10, pick a thread any thread, and start replying. No one will know, it is 100% entirely safe. I Guarantee It"

If you would like to pre-order my book for a 25% discount, please contact me via PM, or drop me an email ronny@acunett.com

What a coincidence! I've just released a new book as well called:

Save Disc Space and Resources - Don't Post Needlessly

It's on shelves right now for only $29.95! If you buy my book and follow my easy step-by-step plan, I'll add 10 posts to your count if it means that much to you! :D

Save Disc Space and Resources - Don't Post Needlessly is 97.34% safe (do NOT microwave)

I really don't understand why it is so important for people to have high post counts? Is there a prize you get when you reach a certain number? Whats all the freaking fuss about?

It's just a stunt to topple Chicken as king of the posters.

By the way, sorry for bringing this old thread up, it's just that, after I posted this topic initially, I forgot about it, thus missing all the replies :D

It Seems people don't resepect you if you have no post counts. Not that I'd know anything about that.

I heard a rumour that all posts are reviewed periodically for merit value and any post without relevency will be removed from the posters total post count.
Also, any post with more than 10 instances of:
- mispellings (their VS there count too)
- lack of punctuation (periods, and capitals ect.)
- chat room words (M8, and 3l33t ect.)
as well as posts containing less than 100 characters.

Chicken has been assigned assistants to help him read them all. Their names are ChickenCoop, ChickenSoup, ChickenStirFry, ChickenFlyHigh, ChickenFinger, and ChickenWing.

Ahhhh... and don't forget Chicken Spam (http://www.straightdope.com/classics/a5_229.html)!

Which brings us to your question about chicken Spam: they do make it, sort of--chicken is one of the things that go into the aforementioned low-fat Spam, known as Spam Lite. Some may find the taste a little funkier than that of the regular version. But what the heck, it's still pink.

What, you mean you haven't recieved your Left Handed Smoke Shifter yet? Maybe you should go ask that fella over there...

(Sorry - I had a momentary geekness flashback to the ol' boy scout days... Forgive me.)
