Has anyone tried this ad server? I'm signed up as both a publisher and advertiser. It seems a little better than adsense to me in a few ways:
smaller ad codes
less waiting for payouts (only need to get $10 to get paid with paypal)
customizable ad codes

Yet adsense still seems to be more popular. Does anyone know of some major issues with bidvertiser?

I don't think it has much to do with any problems relating to BidVertiser, just that Google Adsense has more advertisements, as it's everywhere. Although I don't know how long BV has been out there compared to Google's.

For me its the opposite, bidvertiser only generates 10% of the income i get with google.

But maybe it has to do with the fact that i`m advertising on dutch websites, and maybe bidvertiser hasn`t got enough dutch advertisers in the catagory of my site though...

But when your income with bidvertiser is more then you get from adsense, use it! Adsense, in my opnion, has some big disadvantages.
One of them is the fact they don`t seem to care about small publishers and their support is terrible.

Also read the horror-stories about google blocking accounts because their system thinks non-legimate clicks are generated by your account.

Actually that very thing happened to me. I was just a few clicks shy of my first hundred dollars and last month I got an email saying invalid clicks were generated by my account. I've never clicked my own ads before. As someone who has spent money on payperclick services, I understand the loss such a practice would generate. 2 years of work down the drain.

Exact same thing happened to me with Adsense.

I've been using Bidvertiser, but it really doesn't make much at all.
