Any information would be appreciated... Ben5082 07-01-2002, 03:40 PM It appears that they are a brand new hosting company. Probably means that you would be one of their first customers. The benefit is that they would have very few customers so support would be good. The drawback is that they might be unsuccessful as a new business and go under. Their prices seem very good so maybe they will get a lot of business quickly and become successful. mcfcforever 07-01-2002, 04:42 PM Hi there, i recentley signed up for a hosting account with them. I believe they ahve 5-6 servers, and the one i am on hasnt had any downtime yet! They have great support, and there techs have a very quick turnaround time. I would recommend them to anyone. If anyone has any more problems or questions, just PM me. Matt p.s no i dont work for them, just a satisfied customer! tazd9t9 07-01-2002, 04:54 PM i have no personal experience of them, i think i have only seen one bad thread about something, their owner is around here quite a lot, try doing a search for them. mcfcforever 07-01-2002, 04:59 PM Hi there taz, any ideas what this bad thread was about, because i havent heard anything about them, and i would like to know! Matt tazd9t9 07-01-2002, 05:03 PM Here is the thread, it turned into a bit of a slagging match and got closed: http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=56829&highlight=earhost Aussie Bob 07-01-2002, 07:39 PM Originally posted by mcfcforever Hi there, i recentley signed up for a hosting account with them. Of course it depends on the quality and price of the servers too. :) RRolfe 07-01-2002, 07:57 PM yeah i think they just started about a month ago... owner seems nice though from when i have talked to him. Global-Host2 07-01-2002, 10:04 PM Must be reselling servers as well, last i saw him he was looking for an extremly cheap reseller, now selling servers. Some growth. fractiousws 07-01-2002, 10:36 PM Originally posted by mcfcforever Hi there, i recentley signed up for a hosting account with them. I really appreciate it. :) fractiousws 07-01-2002, 10:50 PM I will tell you what the thread was about. I setup an account for this person, the thing is when the server was being set up the I set the nameservers to add ns1.*****.com and ns2.*****.com when it was supposed to be ns3.*****.com and ns4.*****.com, so she emailed me the day after the account was setup and asked why her website was not visable yet, I asked her to wait till the next day because the nameservers probally never propigated yet. The next day she emails me when it still never propigated because of the mistake on my part, so I am not really sure why this is happening so I ask her to submit a ticket to our helpdesk because our techs are more knowledable than I. She emails me back a couple hours later and says to cancel her account. A few hours later I relised what was going on and I gave her a choice, if she stayed I would upgrade her package at no additional costs, or leave and recieve a complete refund. I made a mistake and I am not afraid to admit it. Everybody does every now and then. EzSnake 07-01-2002, 11:57 PM Don't know, not gettin into this name debate...(other topic) However his pre-sales support was on point. :D Site very clean and easy to navigate. Pacakges and location of server are perfect for me. I'm definately signing up!!!! ;) fractiousws 07-02-2002, 12:20 AM Looking forward to your signup Eric. :) Mester 07-02-2002, 12:27 AM I'm on their first (I think) server. Transfer speed is well above average and I havcent had any downtime in the month or so they've been online. The owner (fractious) is great help and the only troubble i've had is a little problem with .htaccess - which the support staff helped me correct right away. Even though I've only been with them a month, I must say there is only one other host that ive ever been with as good (tho they didnt offaer as many features) and i've been though tons of hosts. :) HAL 07-02-2002, 01:18 AM Hi, I have dealings with James at EARhost and I Ihave found his service courteous and response time excellent. :) HAL :) Aussie Bob 07-02-2002, 04:43 AM Originally posted by fractiousws I made a mistake and I am not afraid to admit it.
