i am interested in setting up an account with ibackup.com. i have to load some ibackup software onto my raq for this to work. i am a linux and cobalt newbie and am hoping that someone could take the time to give me detailed instructions on how to install this. ibackup.com was not much help. i tried doing it form the cobalt contral panel but because the softwared did not end in '.pkg' this did not work. i was told that i should FTP this software up to the server to install it, but i don't know what directory to FTP it to. once it is on the server how do i extract it? etc...etc...

I'm no expert (and have not done this yet), but from my understanding : Once you setup an I-Backup account, one of the access methods you have to that is FTP, these details are what you need. Then from the Raq Control Panel (which Raq?) use the "Maintenance" and "Backup" options. Next select the "Schedule" option - Select what you want to backup and use the FTp method, entering the details got from i-backup. That's about it :)

Exactly...set the FTP server to http://www.ibackup.com and then enter in your username and password.

i set up a FTP account at ibackup.com. i then set up and successfully saved a weekly scheduled backup for 'All server config', 'email and users', 'back up all files', 'FTP server method', with a location of ibackupusername@www.ibackup.com. when i clicked on 'start backup' the hour glass appeared but nothing else seemed to happen. i went to ibackup.com to check on things later and it showed that my account was empty.

am i missing something? what could cause this.
