Yes that is right, they now give you about half a days notice before taking money out of your credit card. Just make sure you read your emails frequently if you have any domains with them. I know that I should not be using these cheap registers but the fact is I own hundreds of domains and if I can save several dollars on each one it saves me a lot of $ in bulk. But those days are now over and I'm starting to use more reputable domain registers now. Unfortunately I still have about 10 domains I registered with them a while back, all except one are past 3 months old so I can transfer them away now which I'm about to do right now to Stargate.com.

This morning I got an email from ****** to say they will charge my account for some hosting that I never ordered for $39.95! and I have 10 days to decide otherwise it will be charged automatically from my credit card. Well HELLO, they sent the email on the 5th US time and they say in the email that I have until the 5th to pay for it. Luckily it looks like I managed to stop it but what if I was away today etc?

How do I find the transfer code with them, I know that stargate will ask me for this. If you know how I can find that then please let me know.????

in that email don't mention anything about this email, get all your domains away ASAP, all disputes about unauthorized credit card charges should be made in a different ticket, and preferably, after getting the codes and started the transfer.

Same happened to my a few months ago,they 'upgraded' my registration to a hosting account i never bought and disputed the charges with the credit card company, they also disputed my dispute sending them fake invoices, so i got charged again, but they refunded the charges (i supose to avoid losing their merchant account for high disputes ratio)

They have not got a penny from me (aside from the few dollars I paid over a year ago to register the domain) and will never get anything from me again.

Its sad they are still in operation.

I've also edited my credit card info on their site with a fake number (4444 4444 4444 4448), so if they try to charge my card, they will get the charge rejected ;-)

After the domains have transfered I will then also change my email with them too... ;)

You've reminded me that i should ask them "not to renew" my domains, i still have a domain there, i made a mistype when registering, and don't want them to renew that domain, so "just in case they kept my old CC details somewhere else" i've just sent them another ticket asking them to cancel all my accounts with them and telling explictly that i don't authorize any credit card from them.
