Can you connect windows 2k pro clients to a linux server?

If you mean can you log onto a Linux server's command line from a Windows PC, then yes -- use SSH, I'd recommend Putty (http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/) which is free and very good.

If you mean can you log on as an X terminal (full graphics), that's more complicated (and not really a web thing) but yes again (eg http://www.x-securepro.com/).

Or did you mean something totally different :D ?

sorry i explained it wrong. Can you set linux up as a file server, then connect windows 2k pro clients to it?

What you're wanting to run then will probably be Samba.

http://www.samba.org/

Might want to look into documentation for it. It can be a pain sometimes.

It's good for storing my mp3's and movies on computers that I don't format very often though! ;)
