Hi i'm new to this joined today,

My problem is i have taken the responsibilty to create a site for my cummunity from scratch. I'm not skilled to do this, but i know the basics for HTML like the Tags <p>...</p>...that kind of stuff lol...anyway i think a perfect site for them must contain.

----Forums
----TV station
----Personal profiles
----blogs
----Chatrooms
----Instant messaging

the Tv station, the latest Forum posts, the latest blogs and the new users must be in the INDEX page.

I have not got a Domain name or a web host..Like i said everything is from scratch..i just know what i'm looking for and i listed them above..

So please help me...a perfect plan on how i can excute this will be much appreciated and will not be forgotten...i seriosuly have not got much time..so please HELP...and any question you want to ask, will be answered.

It sounds like you're planning to create a forum with other features. Have you chosen the forum software you want to use yet?

Most or all forum software programs allow members to create their own profiles.

Blogs can sometimes be integrated with forums. That might depend on the software. Have you chosen blog software yet?

How does a TV station fit into this?

about the Domain name and the webhosts i think the forums are very helpful with that...

about the Forum and blogs software..i have not choicen any i dont even know what i'm offered...so if you can provide a link that would be great...

about the tv station or media station..(for some reason i cant post a url here)..so if you go to teamtalk with dot com...then you will see teamtalkTV in the indext page...i'm looking for something like that...

This is a big project for a newb, but you'll learn alot.
There are many solutions for your request but I would suggest the following:

Get Joomla.. http://joomla.org
You can use "Extentions" to do.... Yep, everything!

The "tv station" you're referring to is just an embeded meadia file. Google "embeded video player" and you should get something.

But just know that you can't really do anything untill you get web hosting because those scripts are PHP and you can't view them on your computer unless you install apache (I won't open that can of worms for you).

You've got a long ways to go..
I bet your free host doesn't alow PHP or MySql. If you were to get a paid host that offers cpanel there's something called "Fantastico" which will install the scripts for you. Otherwise you'll need to create the databases & install the scripts yourself.

Yes man..i've got the time..and i want to create the database myself and install it...dont know what you talking about there becuase..if i donwload those features like the chatroom...all i need to do is link it to the index page and then upload it..to the web hoster..

Yes, there's everything wrong with that. You must understand "how things work" before you can make sense of anything. You don't just link things what you're dealing with scripts(php, cgi, etc..). Scripts can be very complicated to newb's as they don't just make your site look nice, they are all about the back-end, they actually function.

Read up on PHP, MySQL, and XML. If you don't give up after truely realizing what you've got yourself into, than congats. Otherwise, leave this to the professionals.
