well i just opened my site up a couple of days ago , so far ive had 7 signups in the past 2 days which is what i consider good for only posting my site here in the reviews section . But im wondering what a good way to get traffic to my site without spending that much money . I ve submitted my site to lots of search engines and other forums for people to look at , im just wondering if anyone can share some tips .
and oh yeah , how did WHT become some popular , what did it do to obtain this success ?
thanks peeps :)

Word of mouth is the cheapest(free!) and best way of getting new people. 90-95% of all signups we get are through referrals.
thanks guys for the tips , pretty much , ive tried advertising my stuff on other free forums like this , im pretty suprised , i have 11 signups in 48 hours , i thought it would take like 2 months to get this many people , even though this isnt alot of people , i never expected it . I also submitted my site using addweb , these ffa emails and opt in email things are killing me , like 90 an hour , i get all happy , then i remember .... its just spam

I say to just watch in the request section for ppl wanting plans similar to what your offering and even talor a plan to fit them perfectly for their price. Thats a way to get many customers. Also in your sig in these forms add your hosting company url and stuff but not to much advertising just a little in your sig. You cant advertise in most parts of this forum but they let you put your url and stuff in yoru sig so techincally you would be advertising with every post you make. (I see you already have this in your sig but this is for others that are reading)

1. Optimise your site for SE's
2. Submit to the top 20 or so SE's (takes about half an hour) (helpful info @ end of post):
3. Submit your site to similar sites (to increase pagerank and linkbacks) at the1000.com
4. Start some basic ad campaigns
5. Get testimonials and put them on your site
6. Find out who your customers are, where they hang out, and advertise to them

That's because you treat your clients well and provide a good service. If you want to get that % down, start ignoring your support emails and sales emails and reboot your servers every now and then just for the fun of it. :D ;)
