One of our users is getting the following problem when running their form
at:

http://www.heresmykid.com/add.htm

Cannot run the FrontPage Server Extensions' Smart HTML interpreter on this
non-HTML page: "http://www.heresmykid.com/add.htm"

I couldn't find any info on this on TechNET. Please let me know if you have had this problem before and how to resolve it!

I think it has something to do with databases in Fpage but of course I never have used anything but pico/notepad and am clueless when it comes to Frontpage =(.

Thanks,

Can you provide some additional information:

server OS (NT, Linux, BSD), what the web server is (apache, IIS, etc) plus anything else you can think of.

It may jog someones thoughts to point them in right direction to help ya.

I did some digging, and the only info I could find was a thread http://qube-users.qube.de/maillists/cobalt-users/2000-March/msg01568.html relating to a RAQ2.

Maybe a start. Check out the RAQ forums n see if someone else there's had same problem. I've seen a few of those, but can't answer it myself.

I assume your not on a RAQ though?

I'm no expert in this area so don't take this as word of god but from the error message it sounds like something isn't configured right in the extensions... since it says it can't run the interpreter on the non-html page... it probabbly doesn't know that .htm is a html page. Might only be setup for .html?

Dexter,

I wish =(. Thats the first thing we figured too so we created a .html and a .shtml and no dice. MSFT has been no help to us at all. It is really starting to make me mad .

Actually after staying up all night trying to figure out what "I" did wrong thinking that it was our problem because this guy insisted that his form worked on another server we find his HTML = screwed up. But a good way to look at it is that we added some mods onto apache and upgraded to 1.3.17 hehehe :).
